Flash: Powertrain Diagnostic and System Enhancements This bulletin involves reprogramming the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with the latest available software. Customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further investigation the technician may find the following DTCs have been set:P1523-00 - VVA Low Oil Pressure. P1524-00 - Oil Pressure Out Of Range - Camshaft Advance/Retard Disabled. P1D7F-00 - ETC Self-Learning Failure. P0141 - O2 Sensor 1/2 Heater Performance. Some customers may experience one or more of the following conditions:Cruise control will not set at 32 kph (20 mph). Engine cranking times out after five seconds. Cruise control will not engage at highway speeds and when in 6th gear. The following enhancements are also included:Improved purge sensor performance. Updated fuel strategy to inhibit spark plug fouling.

The customer may notice one of the following:The parking sensor (warning chime) is still audible after the key is in the off position(EMEA and APAC Only). The radio re-boots if more than five favorite presets are set for each category (i.e. Sport or Rock)(RA2 Sales Code Only). Emergency number (i.e. 911) not set as default(U.S. BU Vehicles Only). Radio re-boots or displays black screens. When receiving or making outgoing phone calls, the other person may hear an echo or repeated phrases(16 MY FB Only). A false message displayed in the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) such as ?Parking Sensors Unavailable? and/or ?Sound System Unavailable?(16 MY FB Only).

Customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further investigation the technician may find that the following DTC has been set:B1053-64 RFHM (Keyless Ignition Node (KIN) Communication) - Signal Plausibility Failure (Software has been updated to better addressthis DTC). In addition, the customer may notice the following condition(s):With the ignition in the run position and the engine not running, the vehicle may not turn itself off after 30 minutes. Doors may not unlock when using the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) Fob. (2015 only) Tire pressure monitoring (TPM) light may illuminate when using the winter tires in winter mode functionality. (2015-2016 only) After an engine start and the doors are closed, a message in the cluster may be displayed ?Key Not Detected? when the key is actually present. (2015-2016 only) Only a message is displayed, the vehicle will start.

Accelerator Pedal Before replacing accelerator pedal, be sure to follow fault code diagnostic procedures in service manual. Make sure to check wiring and connectors. P2122 and P2127 will set if accelerator pedal connector is disconnected during diagnosis. Make sure codes are active before replacing pedal. DTC P2299 is usually caused by a two footed driver and accelerator pedal should not be replaced for this fault.
