The unconnect infotainment system issues a warning that pops up on the screen, making the maps and all other applications inaccessible including the safety sos system. This is a safety issue because the warning repeatedly shows up on the screen and you have to look away from the road to clear the error. If you don’t clear the error then you are not able to access all of the cars controls on the infotainment system. I took this to the dealer to have them fix it. 3 miles later, the warning message popped up again. It is now in the dealership for the 2nd time. There is an issue with the antenna. I did read that the 2024 model is a new antenna, so it appears to me that this may need a mass recall as this is extremely unsafe. This has been an issue since 3,000 miles and I currently have 13,000 and it continues to be a recurring problem.

I am writing regarding my 2021 Jeep Gladiator Mojave, which recently suffered engine damage due to a faulty head gasket. I understand the vehicle is approximately 5,000 miles over the 60,000-mile warranty; however, I believe this issue should not be my financial responsibility given the circumstances. At around 60,000 miles, I brought my Jeep in for a full service and inspection to ensure it was in top condition. I was informed at that time that everything looked fine and that there were no issues to address. Since then, I’ve continued to maintain the vehicle properly and drive it with care. The sudden head gasket failure, which ultimately led to engine damage, came as a complete surprise. This situation has been extremely difficult — not only because of the unexpected cost, but also because this Jeep was meant to be my long-term vehicle. My family and I have been loyal Mopar customers for years, and I’ve always trusted in the quality and reliability of your vehicles and service network. Given that I sought professional service and maintenance through authorized channels, and that no issues were identified at the time, I kindly request that Mopar consider a goodwill repair or assistance. I don’t believe it’s fair to be held financially responsible for a mechanical failure that likely existed but went undetected during a recent inspection. I’m grateful that nothing happened to me on the road, as I was unaware of the developing problem under the hood. I truly hope Mopar can stand behind its reputation for integrity, safety, and customer care by helping me through this situation. Thank you for your time, understanding, and continued support. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

- #11691391October 4, 2025FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, SERVICE BRAKES, VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
Date of Incident: [XXX] Time: [XXX] Location: Mount Pleasant, South Carolina Vehicle: 2024 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon X Mileage at Time of Incident: Approximately 11,000 miles System Involved: Adaptive Cruise Control / Braking System Speed at Time of Incident: 45 MPH in a 45 MPH zone Road & Weather Conditions: Dry, clear weather, good road conditions Description of Incident: While driving at approximately 45 MPH with the adaptive cruise control engaged, the traffic light ahead turned yellow. As I have done many times before in similar conditions, I applied the brakes firmly to slow and stop for the light. However, the vehicle did not slow down as normally expected. As the light turned red and cross traffic began entering the intersection, I pressed the brakes as hard as possible. The vehicle began to slow, and the tires felt like they were “hopping,” but the vehicle never came to a complete stop. Because I was now in the middle of the intersection with a red light and vehicles entering from other directions, I released the brake to avoid a collision. At that point, the vehicle lurched forward, and I realized the cruise control system was still engaged and was actively propelling the vehicle forward. A short time later, the cruise control system finally disengaged on its own. This malfunction nearly caused a serious accident. Under normal operation, pressing the brake pedal firmly at any speed should immediately disengage adaptive cruise control, but this did not occur. Dealer Response: Immediately after the incident, the vehicle was taken to the Mount Pleasant Jeep dealership, SC. The dealership’s technician connected a diagnostic code reader and stated there were no fault codes. They also checked for Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) and stated none existed for this issue. The technician told me there was nothing further they could do. The dealership did not perform a road test, did not escalate the issue to the manufacturer. I need to report an issue. After bringing my Jeep in for a minor muffler noise, the dealership contacted me and informed me that the vehicle would not start. They suggested it could be related to the diesel fuel, but they were unable to identify the exact cause. To rule this out, I contacted the city to have the fuel from the gas station tested, and no contamination was found. This was the same station where I had filled up the day before. Additionally, I had already driven the Jeep approximately 80 miles prior to leaving it at the dealership, which further indicates the fuel was not the issue. The dealership proceeded to drain about three-quarters of the diesel from the tank, emptied it completely, and replaced the bottom fuel lines. However, the problem persisted. They then replaced the fuel pump, but even after that, the issue continued. Eventually, they determined that the fuel pump itself was defective. Importantly, this is the same fuel pump that had already been replaced once before under recall. please let me know if you need evidence. I have all the email from city and more txt , etc.

The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Gladiator. The contact stated the vehicle failed to accelerate over 40 MPH, with the "Service Transmission" warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed that the clutch had failed. The dealer informed the contact that the vehicle had previously been included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V116000 (Power Train); for the clutch, and the remedy, which involved replacing the clutch, had been completed. The dealer confirmed that the VIN was no longer under the recall. The dealer was waiting for the technician and the manufacturer to confirm if the vehicle would be covered under warranty and whether the parts would be provided. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 49,500.

While on a trip from South Texas to Northeast Texas on the interstate highway system we hit a moderate bump and the front wheels and steering wheel experienced a very violent vibration. The vibration would not stop until I slowed from 75 mph to approximately 35 mph. This happened to me twice in my Jeep JL Wrangler which I reported under complaint number 11685327. Since the three incidents I have looked into the issue on the internet and it is abuzz with Jeep owners and claims of a "death wobble" in the steering system. It appears there was a previous lawsuit in which the manufacturer was not found at fault but this problem persists based on the internet traffic I've seen and the number of products being offered, by after market companies, to correct this issue. Thank you...

While driving, vehicle completely shuts off. No electrical, No brakes, No steering. Almost ran off curvy road. Vehicle stays in drive with no electronics. Major safety issue. Have appointment with dealer next week. However this could have been serious. After sitting I was able to push the start button and it finally came back on. Then 100 feet down the road it stalled and blacked out again. This time I disconnected the battery, reconnected it and got it one mile to my home. Something is seriously dangerous. I tried to drive it today and it occurred a third time. Dealer wants me to drive it in but not sure how to handle this.

Gladiator on 3rd transmission and likely to need a 4th now at 26,000 miles. Each one failed the same way. The second gear in the manual transmission starts occasionally popping out of gear while driving and progresses in frequency over time to the point that it is impossible to keep in second gear at all. This may result in unsafe conditions such as loss of control of the vehicle. Each of my first two transmissions which were replaced were inspected by dealership technicians and the problem found to be easily repeatable. On tearing down of the transmission, pieces of internal components such as synchros were found to be disintegrated. I believe the transmissions were inspected by engineers from Jeep or its parent company though no findings were made available to myself. There were no warnings beyond the gradual escalation of the issue itself. The problem started happening at about 8000 to 10,000 miles on each transmission.

After returning from errand about a 20 minute drive, the vehicle was parked and turned off. A short time later we saw smoke coming from the hood and realized the vehicle was on fire. The fire was on the passenger side towards the front of the engine compartment. Looks like an electrical fire that started near the power steering pump/wiring.

The contact owns a 2021 Jeep Gladiator. The contact stated that while driving at 60 MPH, there was an alarming amount of white smoke emanating from the engine compartment and permeating the interior of the vehicle, prompting the contact to pull over to the shoulder of the roadway and evacuate the vehicle. Moments later, the entire front of the vehicle was completely engulfed in flames. Local Emergency Services arrived on the scene and were able to extinguish the fire. During the failure several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the residence and deemed a total loss by the Insurance provider. A fire report was filed and preliminary findings on the potential cause of the fire were provided but the contact was unaware of the cause. A Police report was filed, and injuries were reported. The contact's father suffered minor burns to both hands but had not sought medical attention. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, a case was opened, and the vehicle was retrieved for inspection. The manufacturer provided a determination of the inspection, and the vehicle was returned to the contact without providing the contact with the cause of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.

I used the 4 wheel drive and received message that clutch was hot, then received message to service transmission. Vehicle went into limp mode. Drove at speeds of 35 to 40 miles an hour. 50 miles an hour down hill. Had to drive access roads because [XXX] traffic is 75 miles per hour. Several times speed was even slower. Took it to brown dodge in Devine. The reset system and said I could not use 4x4. Referenced star code s2521000001. I took vehicle in 7/13/25. I wonder if they even previously preformed recall 19a clutch on This manual transmission. Purchased Mojave Jan/2023, recalled received 4/23. Recall repaired 6/24. On 15000 miles on it and the first time I use 4x4 the vehicle became useless and barely able to move. I wonder if software upgrade for 19a really fixed the 19a issue or just was a bandage to buy more time. I have purchased several Chrysler products and the manufacturer lack of addressing the issues is concerning. I’m [XXX] this is the first time I had to file a complaint. Not knowing when they will address the problem on a vehicle I purchased to enjoy my retirement is sad INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The vehicle was being driven on a 4 mile stretch of interstate 26 averaging between 65 and 70 MPH. On the steepest section of the grade the vehicle downshifted into 7th gear and began to lose power. It showed a check engine light and other codes which are attached. I was able to safely pull over to the shoulder but the vehicle lacked power and pulling over and maneuvering on a steep grade was precarious. I received an alert from the Jeep mobile app on my phone shortly after instructing me to take my car to schedule an appointment now. I was able to use a scanner application JScan to clear the code and was able to return home without further incident. I investigated the code that was provided by JScan “P00AF” and discovered that numerous owners had experienced the same situation across all lines of vehicles that use the Gen 3 Ecodiesel. I counted 37 separate reports while using Google in 15 minutes of searching. This is a serious safety issue as I was traveling at interstate speeds uphill and went from 65-70 mph down to a slow rate of travel in a matter of seconds and to my knowledge no brake lights illuminated as cars were changing lanes behind me rapidly due to my sudden decrease in speed. It appears likely to be a programming or electrical malfunction with the turbo wastegate actuator and corresponding sensors that is not indicative of an actual turbo or wastegate actuator failure. If the computer algorithm is using barometric pressure for pairing boost set point and actual boost based on residual data that is not updated in real time, when ascending steep grades and gaining hundreds of feet in elevation over a short duration, air pressure values could potentially be skewed resulting in a mismatch in actual versus expected turbo boost output. My vehicle had only been running for 12-14 minutes as I live at the base of a large mountain and left home and began my ascent within 10 minutes. Therefore my oil and engine temperature were not elevated.

On [XXX], I purchased a 2023 Jeep Gladiator from Lakeland Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep Ram in Lakeland, Florida. At the time of purchase. I purchased a 36K/3 Year Bumper to Bumper warranty on the vehicle. After purchasing the vehicle, I noticed that several lights would come on in the vehicle. So I took the vehicle to the shop. The vehicle was taken to Posner Park Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep , RAM. A diagnostic test was completed, and they informed me that the airbags were inoperable, and the harnesses were sliced. The front door lock was also not working as well as other items. There was no way for me to know that the airbags were in that type of shape when I purchased the vehicle. I contacted Lakeland Jeep and spoke to about 5 managers as well as my salesperson Kyle. Justin Purdy asked me to forward the paperwork to his email and ii did do so. The problem is that I was sold a vehicle that was unsafe, and I purchased a warranty to cover the cost of the repairs. No one from Lakeland Jeep has contacted me back about this situation. I have spent $2,600 in repairs that I should not have had to pay. I am filing this complaint because this is not the proper way to deal with customers. I going to take the appropriate actions against this dealership starting today. I should not have had to pay this amount of money for these repairs. The warranty did not cover the repairs. The dealership should have made sure the vehicle was inspected prior to selling this vehicle to me. I have pictures of the vehicle prior to purchase that was on the dealership’s website. I have screen shots of the vehicle. I have my bill of sale which contains the warranty that was purchased. This is unfair and unethical. I am not happy about how I have been treated and I am not happy with the fact that I was driving a vehicle without all the safety equipment in place. The vehicle is still new and has not been taken offroad other than a few boring unpaved roads. It has never hit any significant pothole. The tires still have the original OEM tire pressure, I have never removed or added air to them. At the time of the incident the tire pressure was 39psi and the temperature outside was about 80F. I was driving on the highway at about 75mph with cruise control. I started feeling a strange slight lateral instability then we heard a strong noise and we thought we had a helicopter on top of us or maybe that something else was loose in the car. As I was stopping in the shoulder it became clear that it was a tire problem as we saw pieces of tire flying off. Thankfully we were able to stop safely. Then it became clear what happened: the tire external sidewall just exploded with absolutely no reason. There was no pothole, no sudden braking or cornering. It just decided to explode. The car behaved very well given the gravity of the situation, but I lost trust in the Bridgestone Dueler H/T 245/75R17 tires that came with it. I'm no tire expert, but the broken tire sidewall construction seems very flimsy to me. This tire has no steel on the sidewall and it looks like the polyester threads is not appropriate and may even be missing in some areas. I took a large number of photos to what is left of the tire.
