This bulletin provides information on the rear wheel speed sensor for Santa Fe (CM), Santa Fe / XL (NC), Santa Fe Sport (AN), and Veracruz (EN) vehicles equipped with front wheel drive (FWD). The rear wheel speed sensor is available as a separate service part from the rear wheel hub assembly. When appropriate, it is recommended to replace only the rear wheel speed sensor instead of the full assembly.

As a precautionary measure, cavity wax coating is applied to the internal surfaces of underbody components, and an undercoating spray is applied to the bottom exterior surfaces of specified underbody components. THIS BULLETIN PROVIDES THE PROCEDURES NECESSARY TO RESET (ERASE) AND RELEARN THE PCM/TCM ADAPTIVE VALUES. AFTER THE FOLLOWING REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED, THE PCM/TCM ADAPTIVE VALUES MUST BE RESET IN ORDER TO PROVIDE OPTIMUM SHIFT QUALITY.
