Repeated rear suspension failures on cars with self leveling suspension. I will be having my 4th set installed in 3 years. Rear suspension failure leads to unpredictable cornering and possible accident in and emergency maneuver. Hyundai has stated that there is no issue to warrant a recall or TSB. I have filed a complaint with Hyundai corporate.

I am submitting this supplemental complaint regarding a repeated and dangerous brake failure in my 2025 Hyundai Palisade. This is a follow-up to my original complaint submitted in July 2025. On multiple occasions while driving at low speeds (around 5 mph), including turning into driveways or approaching intersections, the braking system failed to respond properly. The brake pedal felt like it lost connection — similar to how a bike slips when its brake fails. The vehicle kept moving forward even while I was applying the brake. This nearly caused accidents several times. I believe the automatic emergency braking system (AEB) also failed to engage. One incident caused me to hit a fence, resulting in a small dent. Hyundai is now refusing to repair the safety systems under warranty because of that dent — even though the dent was a result of the brake malfunction. I brought the vehicle to an authorized Hyundai service center, and they refused to cover the issue under warranty or provide a loaner vehicle, leaving me to drive a potentially dangerous car. I also want to note that I have seen multiple recent NHTSA complaints from other Hyundai Palisade owners describing similar brake issues. This suggests a wider pattern of brake failure, which must be urgently investigated before someone is seriously injured or worse. Hyundai has failed to properly investigate the issue or assist me in any meaningful way. This vehicle is still under warranty, and I am unable to safely use it while they delay responsibility.

ABS system malfunctions when traveling over bumps and applying brakes simultaneously. This condition happens intermittently and is found to be present in other automobiles of the same make and model. (Experienced in a rental vehicle). The result of this malfunction is the sensation of the abs system activating by the presence of vibration in the brake pedal. This occurs for a short duration, accompanied by a brief but significant decrease in braking performance. This condition almost caused a collision while entering a busy intersection. Dealer service advisor was notified but declared it to be normal. Also, a formal complaint was sent to the manufacturer.

On [XXX] the engine light went on my 2023 Hyundai palisade SUV. Immediately I drove over the Hyundai dealership to try to find out what the problem was. On my way there, the light remained on, and the car kept making movements as if it was going to turn off, I could barely make the speed increase as I was driving. I went to Healey Hyundai located at 794 Route 52 Fishkill Ny 12524 phone number 845 831 1090 . In spite, the car light on and the issues they refused to attend the car and asked me to go back Monday morning, which I did , same issued on my way there, and I arrived there with the engine light on , service advisor Rasheena M Dyer , took the car, saw the light on, took pictures and asked me to wait for the mechanic to review the car. After two hours the service advisor, said “ there’s nothing we could do, or anything could do, the car is misfiring and anything could be causing the car to misfired, the mechanic don’t see the light right now, therefore, we can’t diagnose anything, but the car is misfiring “. I replied:” my car is under 50,000 miles and under manufacturer warranty, can you give me a rental, while you fixed the engine problem, I have 5 children , how can I drive around with my kids with an engine light on and the issues is giving me”, she replied: we won’t give you a rental because we don’t know what the problem is , ( although they know and said the car motor is misfiring )unless you pay $200 dollars . They sent me away with the engine light on, and the car making sounds and movements as if is going to go off anytime . Hyundai refused to help me although the engine lights are on and my car is still under warranty. I took the car that same day to Monro auto service at 64 north plank road ,Newburgh Ny 12550, and the checked the car and confirmed that there’s nothing wrong with the oil, or filters as the dealership try to implied , is an engine-firing problem that again, Hyundai dealership refuses to fix. The 2021 Palisades started riding very rough and bouncy. I made an appointment and took it to Edmond Hyundai for the repairs. They initially said that the rear insulator-strut needed to be replaced and they would order them. It took 10 days to get the parts from Dallas and made another appointment to get it fixed. The dealership took 6 hours to replace only the insulator and kept it over night to do the 4 wheel alignment which they would not cover as warranty per the Service Manager but it was need. I picked it up the next day only to discover that only the insulator was replaced and was told that the service tech test drove the vehicle and it's fixed. I drove out and tested the suspension, it took only 1 mile and back it went to get fixed.

The antilock system activates on dry pavement at low speeds, often when decelerating to stop before leaving a parking lot. Braking distance is increased from about 5 expected feet to 12-15 feet. This is scary as it could put the vehicle into cross traffic. It has happened about 1/month so far

Over the course of 6 mos. I've experienced several instances while braking on uneven surfaces, wherein the ABS system of my 2024 Hyundai Palisade reacted surprisingly very unpredictably. On 2 occasions this caused a near-miss; one of which involved braking while turning a corner on a rough surface and the car skidded/skipped (wheel-hopped) unpredictably. In another near-miss, I quickly released/reapplied the brakes which seemed to deactivate this erratic ABS behavior. My vehicle was recently shopped at my local is Hyundai dealership for routine maintenance/defects. This ABS malfunction was also to be addressed. The dealership reported to me that they were unable to duplicate, the car was operating as intended, no trouble found...Of course, I was highly. unsatisfied with this response, particularly after having taken a test drive with the service department supervisor, demonstrating the issue while driving and reviewing relevant online forum discussions that documented the exact issue I've been experiencing. PLEASE HELP BY DEMANDING HYUNDAI IS IMMEDIATELY ADDRESS THIS LIFE THREATENING ABS SAFETY DEFECT BY MEANS OF AN URGENT RECALL! Thank you.

Brake system failure. Driving on uneven surfaces (train tracks, pot holes, payment dips, rock, etc.) causes the brake system to fail to stop the vehicle. Causing a minimum of a 5-6 ft. stop. The car continues forward and the brakes fail to stop. The brakes feel like they are slipping during the slightest compression. The vehicle does not stop at all. The brakes grinding and hop to a stop eventually but only after several meters. There is automatic loss of brakes with the slightest uneven surfaces. No warning lights come on. Nothing is activated on the control system. No indicators show during the malfunction. Just terror and fear when attempting to break on anything but a brand new paved road. Car is currently in the manufacture dealership for inspection. Safety for my family and for other drivers cannot be maintained when I am unable to stop the vehicle if there is the slightest imperfection in the road.

The sunroof glass appears to have exploded or burst open. The vehicle was parked at the time of the incident. The owner had driven the vehicle just two hours prior and returned to it to find that the sunroof had burst upwards sending glass on top of the remain parts of the sunroof and all over the interior cabin. There was no projectile involved and the remaining glass around the hole was protruding upwards indicating it had been pushed upwards by the pressure. This could have happened while occupants were in the vehicle. The vehicle has been inspected by the dealer who could not find anything wrong with the frame or housing to indicate a defect.

When driving down bumpy roads and you try to stop, abs kicks in but doesn’t stop the car right of way. You have to hit the pedal down all the way to stop if there is another car in front of you. HS happened multiple times in the same area in dry conditions.

- #11677175July 30, 2025SUSPENSION, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, LANE DEPARTURE: WARNING
**Vehicle:** 2021 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy, ~75,000 miles. Purchased February 2025. **Problem 1 - Forward Camera Failure:** The forward-facing camera system controlling lane keeping assist, emergency braking, and lane departure warning has completely failed. Dashboard warnings appeared in recent weeks including "Check Forward Safety system" and "Forward Safety system disabled" before total failure. This eliminates critical safety features designed to prevent accidents, significantly increasing collision risk. Camera unit behind rearview mirror available for inspection. **Problem 2 - Rear Shock Failure:** Rear shock absorbers have failed, causing excessive clunking and compromised vehicle stability. Rear suspension has been clunking since purchase in February. This creates dangerous driving conditions with reduced stability, increased stopping distances, and poor emergency handling. This is a known issue covered under Hyundai Technical Service Bulletin 22-22-001H. **Safety Risk:** Both failures create serious safety hazards - eliminating collision avoidance systems and compromised vehicle control/stability. **Professional Confirmation:** Local Hyundai dealer has confirmed both the camera system failure and rear shock absorber failure through diagnostic testing and inspection. **Components Available:** Both the failed camera system and rear shock absorbers remain available for inspection upon request. **Request:** Investigation and remedial action for these safety-critical defects, particularly given the rear shock issue is a documented manufacturing problem per TSB 22-22-001H.

- #11677034July 29, 2025SERVICE BRAKES, ENGINE, BACK OVER PREVENTION: WARNINGS
1. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Multiple safety-critical systems have failed repeatedly, including: •Engine (multiple shutdowns while vehicle was in motion) •Automated Emergency Braking (AEB) (activating without cause while reversing) •Brake Pedal (intermittently unresponsive with audible rattling) •HVAC (leaking fluid into the passenger-side floorboard) Yes, the vehicle is currently with the dealership (Stamford Hyundai, CT) and is available for inspection. 2. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? • The engine has shut off without warning while the vehicle was in motion, including in traffic, creating the potential for rear-end collisions. • The emergency brake has slammed on while reversing, without any obstacles present, risking whiplash and collisions with pedestrians or nearby objects. • The brake pedal becomes unresponsive, with a loose/rattling sensation, making it difficult to slow or stop the vehicle safely. • The HVAC leak creates slippery floor conditions, posing a secondary risk for occupants during ingress/egress. 3. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? The dealership (Stamford Hyundai) acknowledged some issues but stated they were unable to replicate all of them. However, the brake pedal defect is consistently reproducible and occurs daily. Multiple videos and logs have been submitted to Hyundai’s consumer affairs team. 4. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? The vehicle is currently under inspection by Stamford Hyundai. Hyundai Consumer Affairs (case managers Noorpreet and Taruni) have been involved and have reviewed videos and documentation. No inspections by police or insurance. 5. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No.

TSB # MC-10207814-0001 I Have already had this repaired once, in 2023 and the other in 2024. My vehicle is now out of warranty, and Hyundai won't do anything for this fix. Looking online, there are plenty other complaints regarding the rattling noise experienced with this issue. I believe this should become a recall, and all vehicles on the road should be able to get this replaced in or out of warranty.
