Recall 20321V301000HYUNDAI IS INITIATING A NEW RECALL CAMPAIGN 203, A SAFETY RECALL TO ADDRESS A CONDITION INVOLVING ENGINE FAILURES RESULTING IN A VEHICLE STALL & OR FIRE IN CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2019-2020 HYUNDAI ELANTRA, 2019-2021 HYUNDAI KONA, AND 2019-2021 HYUNDAI VELOSTER VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH 2.0- LITER "NU" MPI ENGINES AND PRODUCED FOR SALE IN THE U.S. AND CANADA. HYUNDAI IS INITIATING THIS ACTION TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF ITS VEHICLES. This vehicle I purchased brand new from Located in: Universal Hyndai Orlando Address: 12801 South, S Orange Blossom Trl, Orlando, FL 32837 on 1/1/2020. It has 9000 miles on it. This recall is scarey. Since receiving the notice on 4/23/21 there is no remedy on the recall?? So if something happens I will be sure to file a lawsuit to all those directly and indirectly involved. What is the remedy? You cannot issue a recall of this magnitude and do nothing for 3 months since sending out notices. I called Universal Hyndai and they said they cannot do anything without the remedy notification. They also told me they won't cover a loaner vehicle while in repair. I need to speak to someone that knows what is going on and who can handle the rectification of this issue properly. If not give me a replacement vehicle of the same.

Hello, I was instructed to reach out regarding a recall in my vehicle that is not being taken care of. I lease a 2020 Hyundai Kona. I lease a 2020 Hyundai Kona. About 5 months ago my vehicle started making an odd noise from the engine. It then started stalling, completely turning off while I was in the middle of the road, driving it. I reached out to my Hyundai dealership who had me bring it in 3 times to check the oil. They told me that there was nothing they could do. I have since received a letter stating there is a recall on my vehicle but there is no remedy in place and they do not have courtesy cars. So I am stuck making payments on a leased vehicle that is completely unsafe to drive. I am unsure where to go from here. I look forward to your response. Thank you.

My vehicle is equipped with battery cells manufactured in the LG Energy Solutions China (Nanjing) plant in which the Anode (Negative) tab can be folded. Thus, this could result in my car catching on fire. I have had my car serviced for updates since March 2020. (Recall 196) As of today, the problem has not been fixed. My dealer tells me they are waiting for the Hyundai headquarters to remedy the problem.

The failure mileage was 4,300. The consumer stated the sensor for the tires is not operating properly. Upon having the vehicle reviewed the technicians have tightened the lug nuts and putting air in the tires.

The recall for my 2019 Hyundai Kona was issued 28 Apr 2021. It is now the middle of July 2021. How long should Hyundai owners need to wait for a remedy? I feel unsafe even driving this vehicle knowing it could possibly blow up. As of 7/12/2021, no remedy is listed. I have called my local dealer and they say the same, no remedy yet.

The vehicle was purchased 11/6/2019. On 1/11/2020 while driving from Oregon to California the main computer shorted out causing complete shutdown of the vehicle. It took the Sacramento Hyundai dealership almost 3 weeks to deliver the vehicle back to me. Since then the vehicle has appeared to run well. However, my faith in taking the vehicle on long drives is at least shaken. Several recall notices have been issued for my vehicle. Most notably is number 200. A recall notice #196, received in November, 2020 states "The high-voltage battery system... may have been produced with internal damage to certain cells ... that could increase the risk of an electrical short circuit ... increase the risk of fire." On July 2020 I received another Service Campaign notice which stated "The HIgh Voltage Battery Monitoring System is being enhanced to include additional monitoring...". On April 23, 2021 the local Hyundai dealership set the maximum charge to 80% as a result of another recall notice. Early in July, 2021 I received yet another recall notice which stating that vehicles battery cell manufactured in the LG Energy Solutions China plant could suffer an electrical short ... increasing the risk of a vehicle fire. I need to have a vehicle that is free from dangerous conditions. It is now 21 months since the dangerous condition in my vehicle was brought to Hyundai's attention. In one of the last paragraphs of Hyundai's latest recall notice they state that if they have failed or are unable to remedy the defect within a reasonable time, I may submit a complaint to you, NHTSA. I believe this situation meets that criteria. Thank you for your assistance, David Steinberg

June 25th I noticed a knocking sound on my vehicle. On June 28th I was driving and noticed the knocking sound and was unable to accelerate. I had to exit immediately. The engine shut off and I was unable to restart my car. I waited a few minutes and checked the oil. The engine was smoking and the oil was bone dry. I then got some oil and put it in the car but the vehicle would not start. I had to get it towed to the dealership on Tuesday, June 29th. I was then told that it wasn't the recall although my car did everything listed on the recall except catch on fire. The dealership is saying there is too much oil in the intake. They are giving me the run around and will not return my calls. I have to physically go up to the dealership in order to get feedback. They only tell me that they do not know when I call them.
