While driving at moderate speed (between 25 and 35mph), the car's dashboard indicated that The Brake System, Lane Departure, Honda Scene, Electric Motor/power Steering, and several other systems were having issues and I should see the dealer. I would have attempted to record these, but I was at an intersection, trying not to get hit. The battery light, tire pressure light, and another indicator (I cannot recall which one) was on. I was able to stop before entering the intersection. After letting up on the break, I did not move forward. I pressed the gas, and still did not move forward. I powered the car off by pressing the power down button after putting the car into park. Upon restart, the Break System error about the "Break Performance being reduced..." was still there and I was able to make my way into a nearby parking lot. I parked, and restarted the car again. The error was still there, but no more indicator lights were on. Inspecting around the car and under the hood, I didn't see anything that stood out. I restarted the car again, and had no lights, but the break message did appear again before disappearing. I was able to drive back home without further incident.

- #11641449February 7, 2025POWER TRAIN, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Recurring issue where car loses all power to the powertrain, brakes, etc. while driving. Electrical systems inside the car and lights still functions, but complete loss of system to accelerate or keep the car going. After incident, computerized dashboard scrolls through multiple errors and then repeats (I have video). When I turn the car to the off position and then restart, only a single error for the braking system shows on the dash/computer system. If I turn it off again, and then back on, all errors are gone and the car drives "normally." Dealership could not repeat the issue and said computer system did not show any errors, even when I showed them pictures of the errors. First occurrence was 3/6/2024 on freeway during rush hour traffic, ~55mph. Car had 8010 miles on it. Second occurrence was 1/15/2025 on side highway where speed limit was 55mph; I was traveling about 40mph. Third occurrence on 2/7/2025 was just starting from a red light at an intersection and just made it through the intersection when car failed. Taking to dealership again for diagnosis.

came to stop sign. As I turned the corner, engine died in the intersection, all warning lights and dashboard warnings came on. I was dead in the intersection. I had to put car into park, turn the car off, turn car back on and then I could start the car and move out of the intersection to the side of the road. All warning lights and dashboard warnings were on. I have pic of warnings from last event (of 4). able to drive car, everything was normal except brake warnings was on the whole trip (30 min) but brakes worked fine. Parked car for 2 hours and when I came out, all warnings were NOT displayed. This has happened at about the following dates and mileage on the car BETWEEN events. Car purchased new 2/25/2023. First event was about 7/16/2023 at about 2994 miles. Second event was about 2/20/2024 at about 4978 miles since first event (7972 total miles). Third event was about 6/20/2024 at about 3885 miles since 2nd event (11857 total miles). Fourth event was on 11/9/2024 at exactly 3970 miles since 3rd event (15827 total miles. Each time, I have taken it into a dealer. They did a software update after 3rd event and after 4th event, replaced ICM module (ignition control module). Honda factory person worked with dealership after 3rd and 4th event. To date, we do not have any evidence that replacing the ICM has fixed the problem but also no evidence it has not fixed the problem as the events seem to happen every 3,000 to 4,000 miles. I have lots of documentation I have sent to Honda and have a case number with them (13997837). I have asked Honda to replace the car. They started the process but just this week in a call, they said they were ending that process for now. Not sure if I was able to ADD copies of my dealership invoices, my own correspondence with Honda. If they are not on this document, call me and I will send them to you or email them to you.

I am a [XXX]. I contacted Honda customer service to escalate my situation. I have not yet received help from the Winston-Salem Honda dealer as of 9:00 a.m. on 10/18/24. I have complained to the Department of Justice's consumer protection division. I have sent documentation. I reached out on Facebook. I was last contacted by Dallas, even though Mike's name is on my last paperwork. This is suspicious. My rubber on my door has been replaced. My seatbelt was missing a bolt. Tires with regular, correct maintenance from the dealer should last 30,000 miles. Because Honda of Winston-Salem did not follow the schedule, after bringing my car to them many times, I have to replace my four tires at under 22,000 miles. I have lost 30% of my tires' lifespan unnecessarily due to a lack of regular balancing and rotation, despite multiple visits to Honda of Winston-Salem. My last recall letter arrived over 60 days ago. My seatbelt, CVT transmission, and engine have recalls. My window tint has faded, my door is failing, my brakes have issues, there are electrical issues, and the ceiling is sagging. My Hondalink is incorrect. I asked for help with car features and I paid $3000 up front extended warranty, but they refused to assist. - #11638514January 25, 2025STEERING
Florida recently experienced a lower than average cold front. During this cold weather I started experiencing a problem with my steering. I initially described it as a twitching feeling with my steering but the next day I figured out how to recreate the issue consistently. My car wants to push me to the left into oncoming traffic. When I correct to the right I feel a momentarily resistance then the steering "let's go" and then steers right. I could repeatedly do this again and again. Car drifts left I steer right, steering sticks and then let's go to the right. I call and describe the issue immediately to my local dealership. They said my car isn't included in current recall for similar issue with crv etc. my appointment is in 3 days and now the weather is back in the 70s and I cannot recreate the issue. I'm sure when I drop it off, Honda will also not be able to recreate the issue in warm weather. It is a significant problem and needs to be addressed. My daughter thought she was going to be forced into oncoming traffic or the interstate wall because of it. Accords should be included. There's definitely a problem. I have a video that shows the twitch but I understand that probably doesn't mean much. Honda needs to fix this issue immediately

- #11633462December 31, 2024ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, ENGINE, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
Driving on town road up a hill at about 30 mph when I got a brake system warning and the engine shut off and accelerator did not work. I was able glide to the side of the road (steering worked). I turned the car off and on and was able to continue driving to my destination but the same error message was present along with several others (eg TPMS, lane assist, collision mitigation). After being parked for 1 hour, I started car and there were no error messages and car functioned normally. Brought car to dealer (Westbrook CT Honda) and they ran diagnostic codes but found nothing other than what they described as an older voltage flux. They had never heard of a car's engine shutting off with the break system error. Told me that if it happened again to have car towed in so that there would be no code resets. I can only imagine my fear level if this had happened at 65 mph in the middle lane of a highway! I found a on-line forum where others are describing the same thing. Time for a recall? I went to put windshield washer fluid into my car. When I opened the hood, I saw that the under hood insulation was gone (Burt away). We just had a snow storm and it happen to be heavy wet snow. I always turn on the car from my house (auto start). The heavy snow forced the hood to touch the engine and because it did not have a cover, destoyed the insulation. I went to Honda and showed the service manager the picture. He said I would have to pay to replace the under hood insulation, that does not seem right.

Car suddenly dies completely while driving. Entire electrical system failure rendering car inoperable. This happens without warning other than all lights on the dashboard illuminating right before shutdown. Car cannot be steered or moved and needed to be towed. THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE both times on arterial roadways. A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION! First incident reported to you in August of 2024 only four months ago.

Driving out of parking lot at 15 mph, loss of power, unable to accelerate, message warning on dash stating brake problem. Message states reduced braking issue, see dealer. With a couple of tries while stopped, was able to restart the car. Braking problem message remained on dash. Drove about 6 miles to dealer. Parked the car. Shut off. Restarted in front of service advisor. The brake problem message was now gone. Decided to leave the car at the dealership for diagnosis as I was afraid to drive home. Waiting for call back. Mileage about 14,500 at incident.

Twice while driving this vehicle, a large number of warning lights activated simultaneously, and I lost the ability to accelerate the vehicle. Essentially, every ADAS warning triggered at once during these incidents, causing me to lose acceleration and creating a dangerous situation. The first incident occurred on the highway during heavy traffic. The sudden activation of all ADAS warnings was alarming and highly distracting. Fortunately, I managed to pull over safely. After shutting the vehicle off and restarting it, most warnings disappeared, but a few related to the brakes remained, which was very concerning. Despite being able to drive afterward, I was worried about brake safety. Later, when I started the car again, no ADAS faults were present. The second incident happened as I was leaving my apartment complex, forcing me to stop in the middle of the road due to the same issue. After the first highway incident, I took the car to Honda, as it was still under warranty. They inspected it but dismissed the problem, stating all they saw on the code reader were “junk codes” and that nothing was wrong. I plan to return to Honda after the second incident, but I fear they will give the same explanation. Online research reveals that many others have experienced almost identical issues. This is an extremely dangerous flaw in the system that requires immediate investigation and a recall before someone gets seriously hurt.

When I am driving alone, the rear seat belt sign goes on and the alarm starts ringing, as if someone took off their seat belt off. No one in back seat. Was confirmed by dealer on 07/01/24. They performed hard reset. Passenger sat on rear seat behind driver and put on seat belt, the sign showed the middle seat passenger didn't have their seat belt on, there was no one there. The problem started after I took the car for a recall about the seatbelt. 02/07/24, Safety Recall 23-098, seatbelt pretensioner inspection.

While driving the vehicle on a very busy highway, it completely stalled and several warning lights appeared: "Brake System problem SEE DEALER, Check Engine Light, TPMS, etc. I have attached a picture of the warning. Another vehicle behind me slammed on his brakes but ended up bumping my back bumper (no visible damage). Thankfully the driver was alert and was able to slam on his brakes to avoid a disaster on highway 270 (near Washington, DC). I was able to restart the vehicle after a few minutes, the warning lights remained on, and I was able to drive 8 miles to the dealership. According to the work order: "The technician pulled multiple codes, followed the diagnostic tree, cleared codes." I do not feel safe driving this vehicle and have seen other complaints regarding the same issue on a Honda Website. Please research and assist as best you can.
