This Preliminary Information communication advises the technician on the steps to diagnose the concern, and the steps to repair the concern of Diagnostic Trouble Code P228C setting. The technician is to inspect the fuel and readings for the High Pressure Fuel Pump. The technician is to drain and clean fuel tank and all lines if contamination is found. The technician is to replace the high pressure fuel pump and the fuel inlet line to the high pressure fuel pump. The dealer is to request the customer complete the fuel survey attached and send to the fuel system engineer at the e-mail address provided. Latest revision added model years to the PI with no other changes. New revision adds model year and removes the customer surveys.

17337 02 Phase 3 - Product Emission. General Motors has decided to conduct a Voluntary Emission Recall involving certain vehicles, equipped with a diesel engine. The engine control module in these vehicles may not properly diagnose a fault in the exhaust particulate matter sensor. Additionally, a subset of these vehicles, certain 2017 model year Chevrolet Silverado HD and GM Sierra HD vehicles, may in rare instances exhibit a condition in which the engine surges up to 2,800 RPM during vehicle coast or vehicle brakingProgram the engine control module, and transmission control module when applicable.

This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician with additional information on the functionality of Lane Keep Assist.Starting with2016 model year Lane Keep Assist Regular Production Option Code (UHX) replaced Lane Departure Warning Regular Production Option Code (UFL). Lane Keep Assist is designed to assist the driver in keeping the vehicle from drifting out of a driving lane that has clearly identified markings. The electric power steering provides a gentle steering correction if a lane marking has been crossed and the driver has not actively responded.
