The amber light for being to close to another vehicle in front of you does not come on in the dash in my case less than half a truck length ahead. It does not have any sensors on front or rear because Dealer said it was because of lack of chips. There must be someway to adjust this for further notification then a half a truck length.

Hard changes with transmission like a car has hit you from behind. It has had a hit in the transmission changing gears since 15,000 miles but it has progressively gotten worse and at 67k it’s enough to knock you to change steering direction.

I kept getting a constant alert on my vehicle dash board that said "service trailer brake system" the beeping alert was quite literally constant and it covered up the digital speed odometer, every time I tried to acknowledge the alert it would just pop up and start beeping again. I searched online and quickly realized that this problem with the brake system has plagued GM vehicles for several years and I attempted to fix the issue myself by buying factory parts that other GM owners stated was the issue but it did not correct the issue. I ended up needing to take it to a GM service center and my vehicle was there for 2 business days and it ran me several hundred dollars to have GM fix the issue in the electrical brake system. Again according from online research this problem has plagued a large number of GM vehicles and it would be nice to see GM issue a recall and correct the issue so other people don't end up in the situation I was in.

Pulled up to a stop sign and attempt to make a right turn as I was in the turn the steering wheel locked up in the turn which almost caused and accident . I had to get the vehicle towed to Wyatt Johnson GMC dealership in Clarksville TN. I purchased this truck in Jan 2024 from Romain Cross Pointe Auto Park in Evansville ,Indiana at 7600 E Division St, Evansville, IN 47715 it had 13k miles. I'm the second owner I only put 2k miles since ownership. I was able to obtain a vehicle history report which shows this has been an on going problem among other issues DTC code U0131 Lost communication with Power steering Module shows at least 9 times that Romain GMC try to fix the problem. This is extremely dangerous to drive and the steering goes out this has been a known problem.. See attachments

I am reaching out to you to make a report of a safety issue involving the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali model trucks (Vin [XXX] ). I recently read that there was a recall involving the 2020-2023 model 2500 GMC Sierra’s and their Multi-Latch tailgate. I have checked with GMC and my local dealer to see when or if my model would be included in this recall and they have no answer/response for me. The reason for my concern is that I had an issue last year with my tailgate dropping while in motion while pulling my camper. The result was that my tailgate was destroyed and damages were made to my camper as well with both needing to be repaired. The only reason that the bikes, propane tanks, etc that was in the back of my truck didn’t fall out and into moving traffic was because my camper was hooked up thankfully. Its very concerning to know that this same thing can happen again in the future at any given moment with the lack of a recall on my specific model truck. If the things I were hauling would have flown out the back at 60-70 mph it could have ended a lot worse for someone who was following behind me on the road. Additionally, the damages had to go on my driving record as an “at fault” accident which in turn caused a rise in my personal insurance rates. My insurance company assured me that the only way this can be removed was if an active recall were to be addressed with my model truck for the tailgate issue. Loss of steering multiple times. Very dangerous to try and drive. GMC says shut off vehicle for 20 minutes and try again. Once it worked otherwise it continued to lose power steering, either driving or turning on. I have went into GMC forums and found out there are thousands more people that this has happened to. Thank you for what you people do.

water intrusion resulted in the tailgate inadvertently unlatching while the vehicle is in park multiple times while being washed. This apparently happened throughout the night, assuming voltage was being used to send open signal, which resulted in drained battery. In my case my vin is not on the recall that is out on GMC for tailgate issue. And dealership determined there is a pinch in tailgate speaker harness that is causing the issue. Which I’m sure that harness is tied into tailgate latch harness. What needs to be addressed in this recall is for the two drain holes on top of tailgate to be somehow sealed. Drain holes are directly above tailgate latch and harnesses which is the main concern in this problem.

Multifunction tail gate opens while driving, opens when going over speed bumps, opens going over small bumps and opens while driving down the highway. I brought the vehicle to the GMC dealer, they replaced an electrical switch on the tail gate. This did not fix the problem, I called the dealer and they told me GMC does not have a repair for this new issue. This is a brand new truck that is under factory warrant, the truck has 10000 miles on it. If I ever have a load in the bed it may fall out onto the road or highway.

I received a p0747 and p0700 transmission codes on my GMC sierra 3500. It would not engage above 3rd gear and I almost was rear ended by a Semi truck because I was unable to speed up. The vehicle CEL turned on and "Engine power reduced" notification appeared on my cluster. Engine RPMS were at 2800 rpm and my speed limit would not go past ~40mph. I currently have my vehicle being inspected by the local dealership. The vehicle currently has ~19,300 miles

The truck is a 2015 GMC Sierra 2500 HD. With less than 51,000 miles, the transmission is gone due to a design flaw. Around march 8th, the transmission went out when I hydroplanned on a two lane road. Haley GMC Airport was wanting $6700 for a new transmission. I contacted GMC and they offered a 15% discount after raising the price to over $7500. GMC has replaced and volunteered recall on their 2015 1500 and 2015 2500 8 speed transmissions but will not do anything about the 2015 2500 6 speed transmission. The transmission where I received a second opinion advised that they changed the transmission on the 2015 after realizing there was a design flaw. I feel that myself and many others whose transmissions died before 100,000 due to GMC design should not pay full price for a new transmission. If this is not the correct channel, please let me know. thank you.

My tailgate has been unlatching while driving and I do not understand why. It came down while I had my trailer attached and it damaged the tailgate. No one is touching the button that unlatches the tailgate and it is closed when I start driving, but sometime before I arrive to the next destination it's miraculously down. This is very dangerous and I would like help getting it taken care of

I purchased the vehicle in November or December 2022. Since then I’ve had problems with my transmission. The torque converter was replaced 2 times, it’s been in the shop 5-6 times and nothing fixed under the warranty when I purchased it. Finally the dealer I purchased from said they won’t take the vehicle back and won’t spend any more money on fixing the truck. Now it has become on my dime to figure it out since I gave up trying to have a shop diagnose and fix it. The last shop said I would have to pay to have the transmission removed and possibly have the valve body replaced since the dealer I purchased it from gave the second shop one chance to get it right. The transmission downshifts hard and clunks since the first day of purchase. Makes a weird wining noise still til this day. I have spoken with the owners of the dealership and they did not seem to care about my problem.

Rear window leak causing whole inside back to get soaked. Have paid hundreds of dollars to have sealed didn’t work. New window didn’t work it still leaks. It’s going to cause interior to mold and body to rust. Dealership and glass business both say it’s body issue and they have seen many GMC and Chevrolets with this issue. Google show 1000s with same problem.
