We are now 3 months into Ford recall 24S21/24V226 for the Transit Trail. No communication has been received beyond the initial notice in March and no timeline has been given. As seen in forums online, many buyers, myself included, sit in the dark while our vans rot away on the dealers lot with no end in sight. Ford needs to at least give us a timeline so buyers can make an informed decision on proceeding to wait, or back out of their purchases (if possible).

On my 2021 Transit 250, Ford has warrantied 2 front drive axles, the 1st was at 42.4k and second was at 50k. Service writer and tech could not explain why this is occurring. Called Ford customer service line, no tsb or ssm out there, no recall(same as dealer advised). I am aware this is not an isolated incident to me as have found online other instances. If front axle seizes due to lack of fluid due to this issue sudden loss of power or control would be possible. To my understanding and dealers understanding there is no warring light for low diff oil. tried to upload service writeup but would not take

The contact owns a 2022 Ford Transit. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 63-64 MPH, the solar panel suddenly detached and landed in the street after a semi-truck drove by. The vehicle was taken to the dealer however, the dealer was unable to find what caused the solar panel to detach. The contact was informed that the solar panel needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and confirmed that the VIN was not covered under recall or warranty. The failure mileage was 8,632.

The contact's father owns a 2024 Thor Compass RV built on a 2023 Ford Transit Chassis. The contact stated while cooking on two burners of the RV stove, a flame flared up significantly and nearly reached her arms and face. There was no injury sustained. The contact stated that the flame emanated from the burners and appeared that the failure had occurred due to gas leaking from the stove. The contact was able to turn off the stove. The dealer was not notified of the failure. The RV was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 1,176.

The alternator and regulator failed. Parts are available for inspection. Safety was at risk as vehicle could stop or loose nighttime electrical lighting at highway speeds without any prior warning due to sudden loss of electric power. Selling dealer has inspected and confirmed failure of above parts. Components have not been otherwise inspected. The only symptom of imminent failure was a "whineing" noise form the engine compartment audible only when vehicle was not moving. There were no warning lamps, messages,or other signals . This failure occurred at 230 engine hours total and 7000 road miles on unit.

My van has the 360 camera (1 one each side and 1 on the rear). My van would intermittently experience blue image on the sides and rear when vehicle is placed in reverse. There was a recall on the rear camera only (Recall 23V598) that was recently performed on my van. It looks like the rear camera is fixed but I am now intermitently getting a gray image on the left and right camera when the vehicle is placed in reverse. Ford needs to replace all 3 of the cameras to really fix this issue.

My 360 side cameras are turning blue while reversing. I asked Ford Corp to fix it under the recall, but Ford refused to rectify. I ended up paying $701 out of my own pocket. I told them this is part of the recall but still denied the repair. I had to go to Check Cashing place to borrow $701 NOTE: I almost hit a mother and a child while backing up because my screen turn blue all of a sudden.

Ford has issued recall 24V226 for apparent tire rub on the Transit Trail package almost two months ago and has since given no information on timeline for this recall. This issue seems to be contingent on a "perfect storm" of variables and therefore seems to pose much less of a safety risk than stated. Many owners online report no tire rub even during aggressive offroad driving. Regardless, the agreed upon preventative fix is very well documented within the Transit community and has been performed by countless van owners in the past, myself included. This potential issue should have been blatant well before production started on these models, but now that we're here, it seems Ford is dragging their feet to publish what should be a very quick and straightforward fix which is holding up many already purchased vans from being released from dealerships. I worry that the low volume of Transit Trails means the resolution of this recall is seen as low priority and will drag on for months to come.

FORD has failed to fix 2 recalls. Rear differential is howling and potentially low on fluid per recall--my FORD dealer cannot get to it until AUGUST. Local dealer is Chapel hills ford in Colorado Springs--that is were I purchased vehicle on [XXX] 2024. They have been NO help. Both front Tires rubbing the body at any slight turn--like into a driveway--with no load in the van. Tires and body both getting damaged. No resolution from FORD. Because of tires rubbing, it has now caused the wheel well liner to dislodge from the plastic fasteners and I am worried the liner will completely fall into the front wheel and steering linkage causing a wreck. no incident, I do not feel as if the remedy being "not yet available" has been handled in what is considered a "timely manner". All lifted vehicles will have a tire rub, adjustments have to be made to accommodate the larger sized tires. Ford did a body Lift rather than a suspension lift on the Ford Transit Trail and did not have their 3rd party made the necessary "accommodations" to support this tire size. I am currently paying a loan for this vehicle and insurance and my van is at the up-fitters, awaiting the remedy. The Ford Transit Trail package is an off road package, and made for up-fitting. When weight is added to this cargo van, that is when the rub occurs. There are "simple fixes" according to the professionals on lifting vehicles. Why can't this simple fix be done in a timely manner. There are only 1900 vehicles in this recall. In the grand scheme of things this is NOT many!
