The transmission on this vehicle has several issues. It is available for inspection. 1. The transmission gets stuck in park. The dealership was able to reproduce. They replaced shifter mechanism, but issue returned several days later. The only way to prevent this was to disengage the brake lockout, which is a safety issue. 2. The transmission occasionally does not detect that it is in park when turning the car on as displayed on the cluster. This prevents ignition. Some combination of rocking the car or shifting out of park and back into park generally corrects this, but this is a stranding safety issue. 3. Occasionally the transmission will not shift into reverse. Shifting into and out of park and restarting the engine several times generally fixes this, but can be a safety issue when trying to park or make a multi-point turn as it can leave the car blocking traffic. There are no malfunction lights associated with any of these issues.

I just had the TCM updated by the local Ford dealership and the transmission is still kicking out of gear while I am driving down the interstate! The engine light did not come back on yet. This costed $410.00 I think it’s Fords responsibility to make this right seeings there’s been lawsuits over this issue!

At 90,000 miles the Engine Timing Crankshaft Sprocket (i.e Crankshaft Gear,Part #: BE8Z6306AD) holding the timing belt on the vehicle has failed. This resulted in the timing belt backing off the cam gears and coming in contact with and melting through the plastic timing belt cover. Luckily, there was an audible grinding noise coming from the engine that alerted us the problem before the timing belt became dislodged. On further review there are numerous cases on the internet of this situation occurring. Please see examples at: [XXX] , [XXX] , and [XXX] . The service interval for this component established by Ford is 150,000 miles. Therefore, these situations represent an early failure of this engine component and poses a safety risk to drivers if the belt comes off track or breaks during operation because the vehicle could immediately lose power. The attached image shows the timing belt melting through the plastic timing cover. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I have been with out a vehicle for 2 months and its really affecting our lives. Ford charged me $283 to diagnosis it has a faulty clutch. Quoted $4100. I cant afford that since I cant even get to work with out my car. IT SHOULD HAVE A RECALL FOR MY VIN. I HAVE SEEN OTHERS WITH THIS SAME ISSUE. PLEASE take my complaint seriously and please help!!!!!

I was driving on the highway on October 3 and suddenly my vehicle stalled on me. When I pressed the gas pedal, the vehicle no longer moved. I had the vehicle towed to my house and had a mechanic do a diagnostics. The mechanics thinks the issue could be the computer or the transmission not communicating with the computer. The vehicle can no longer shift gear and it can not crank as well. It is very dangerous for a vehicle to stall in the middle of highway like this. The 18 wheeler behind me barely missed me and it could have been a fatality if I was hit in the rear. Thanks god I managed to pull to the center median and had a friend come help towe the vehicle to my house.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fiesta. Ford Fiestas such as my vehicle as well as Ford Focus have been shown to have transmission issues and Ford has failed to perform a widespread recall. I bought my vehicle a year and a half ago from a Ford dealership and it has less than 75,000 miles and now has a transmission issue(transmission clutch shudder diagnosed by Ford dealership) that could cause the vehicle to suddenly stop moving or slip gears. No warning lights have come on. While researching this issue I found that a previous lawsuit regarding the failed part on my car did not include my vehicle and many others that have the same issue.

- #11545607September 20, 2023EXTERIOR LIGHTING, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
The low beam headlights do not turn on, all the other lights work as normal including the high beams. The fuses have not blown and there are no warning lamps or messages. This is a known problem with this make and model, there is a recall in Canada for this issue. The safety of others is put at extreme risk in any kind of low light condition (fog, rain, etc.) As well as my own safety by not being able to see in front of me. It is illegal to drive with high beams on in residential areas so I am just unable to drive at night. The vehicle has not been inspected yet. I suspect this is related to the design of the fuse box which allows debris and moisture to get into the relays, again, see the Canadian recall.
