i WAS CROSSING A DIVIDED HIGHWAY FROM A SIDE STREET AND WHEN I GOT ACROSS AND TRIED TO ACCELERATE IN THE LANE THE TRUCK WOULD NOT SHIFT INTO 2ND GEAR. I WAS DEAD IN THE LANE WITH ONCOMING TRAFFIC COMING UP FROM BEHIND. A CAR HAD TO LOCK ITS BRAKES TO NOT HIT ME. i PULLED OVER AND TURNED THE TRUCK OFF, RESTARTED IT AND IT SEEMED TO WORK OK UNTIL ABOUT 10 MILES LATER WHEN DRIVING AT 55 USING CRUSE CONTROL THE TRUCK SUDDENLY DROPPED FROM 10TH GEAR TO 2 GEAR WITHOUT WARNING. i HAVE TAKEN IT TO MY GARAGE AND THEY SAY IT NEEDS A NEW TRANSMISSION. THE THING IS THIS TRUCK ONLY HAS 61K MILES ON IT.

I bought vehicle at almost 60,000 miles and 8 to 9000 miles later engine is misfiring. Vehicle has been in should previous year and I got it back this June(24) for 2 days and back in shop only to find that ford had work on cyclometer before and refuse to let that be know when it was in shop the first time from same noise and complaint. The dealer recommendation is for a new motor in which cost $12000 more on top of what I owe on truck and ford is refusing to fix the problems stating it’s out of warranty but they previously worked on vehicle. This vehicle had currently 70,000 miles on it and it should not be up for a new motor and I’ve only experienced this vehicle for 9 to 10,000 miles. Seems as if this was a patch up job on a lemon to be sold off and transferring responsibility of repairs to buyer. This is not right and I’m at a standstill on decision of how to proceed forward with situation.

Twelve months ago I took my truck in for service and was informed that the rear lug nuts were compressed and needed to be replaced. I did so and paid over $130. Yesterday, I again took my vehicle in for service and was informed that the front lug nuts were compressed and paid $141 plus labor to have those replaced. Dealer indicated that this was a common issue found on Ford F-150 vehicles. When I asked if there was a recall on the lug nuts, the service manager said, "No, but there should be." I find it unusual that lug nuts have this type of problem.....I have been driving for 53 years and always have my tires regularly rotated and balanced and have never in the past been told the lug nuts had failed and required replacement. Have you had other complaints regarding Ford lug nut compression?

2018 F-150 STX with 103,000 miles, never towed anything whatsoever. I purchased the truck brand new. I have all the maintenance records and have kept up with the truck. The transmission should not be going out this early. Ford dealership states transmission is slipping severally at 5th and 8th gear. If the transmission failed with my family in it on the interstate it could have caused a fatal accident.

I on a trip [XXX] round trip is about 332 miles. I had approximately 42 miles to go and the truck speed was reduced and it started to jerk. This is the second trip over two hundred miles and the same thing happened. have extended warranty insurance but I can’t get any one to accept it here in Cleveland, Mississippi. I really think this truck is a lemon. I purchased it last year in November and it’s been giving me problems ever since then. I don’t have money to just give away on something that is not worth it. I even went to the dealer where I bought the truck and asked him if I could swap out for another truck and he told me he couldn’t do it. When I checked on car fax it just shows that this truck had 126 ,000miles on it. But at the dealership it showed 149,000miles.So it only showed history for 126,000 and less. I don’t know the history of the 23,000 miles that’s not accounted for. I want my money back or a reliable truck that has no problems with it. The 2-piece oil pan system leaks. On Ford’s 3.5L V6 motor, a two piece oil pan is known for commonly leaking. The source of the leak is between the plastic oil pan and the aluminum upper oil pan. Over time with the oil heating and coiling this causes the pans to heat and expand at different rates causing gasket failure around the attachment bolts. This is extremely common among these motors. The safety of the at risk operators and passengers comes into play when you consider the oil leak is captured by a steal skid plate where the oil accumulates over time. If enough oil is present and enough heat from the exhaust reaches the waist oil, a fire could start. The only way a vehicle owner would know there is a leak is if they do their own maintenance or have a good mechanic that does the oil changes. The skid plate captures the oil and prevents it from reaching the ground where a puddle would be noticed. This issue has been known and a repair process is put out by Ford already due to the number of issues with this. My vehicle has not been inspected No warning lamps are illuminated. I notice the leak when doing my own vehicle maintenance. It took me a while, but I was able to trace the leak back to the mounting bolts and researching the problem confirmed my suspicions.
