SummarySome 2021 F-150 vehicles with 3.5L PowerBoost engine and ProPower Onboard may exhibit a center stack screen message stating Pro Power Onboard Turned Off Ground Fault Detected, after performing the Pro Power Onboard test function. This is a normal response after performing the test and full system function may be restored after pressing the on-screen RESET button. Ford is developing an update to the test screens which is expected to be delivered to the vehicle via over-the-air (OTA) SYNC update in late August 2021. Let the customer know they can continue to drive the vehicle and advise to connect to their FordPass account and enable the vehicle to accept the OTA. Schedule a follow-up appointment for September 2021, and contact the customer to understand if OTA was received, and confirm if the service appointment is going forward. Monitor OASIS for updates.

This may be due to software parameters in the PCM. Ford is working on an update that is expected via over the air (OTA) in late August 2021. The software will update automatically if Vehicle Connectivity is turned ON. Inform the customer that powertrain durability is not affected and they can continue to drive the vehicle. Contact the customer in September to determine if they received the update. If the customer needs assistance, schedule a follow-up appointment. Monitor OASIS for updates.

SummarySome 2020-2021 Ford and Lincoln vehicles are equipped with an anti-fogging feature known as enhanced windshield anti fogging strategy (EWAFS). This feature automatically adjusts airflow in the cabin to prevent the windshield from fogging up and may be perceived by customers as irregular climate control functionality. To reduce fogging, the EWAFS functions include: the air condition (A/C) button may turn on and off automatically, recirculated air may turn off automatically in all air modes except MAX A/C, recirculated air may also turn on and off automatically in various airflow modes in order to improve heating or cooling efficiency, and in auto climate control, high humidity conditions may automatically engage A/C compressor, increase blower motor speed and/or direct more air to windshield. Continue to monitor the Workshop Manual (WSM) for EWAFS updates.

SummarySome 2021 F-150 vehicles may exhibit an inoperative camera and diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) C1001:01 in the Sync Module (APIM), B115E:15 and/or B115E:31 in the Image Processing Module A (IPMA). This may be due to a loose coaxial cable or circuit connection. If only APIM DTC C1001:01 is present, verify connections between the IPMA and the APIM. If IPMA DTCs B115E:15 and/or B115E:31 are also present, verify connections between the IPMA and the affected camera(s). Refer to cell 145 of the online wiring diagram to identify affected connections. If all connections are secure, continue with diagnostics in Workshop Manual (WSM) Section 413-13B. For claiming, use causal part number 10E929.

SummarySome 2021 F-150 vehicles may exhibit all modules on the HS2, HS3, HS4 and MS CAN networks not responding to the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) and modules on these networks fail the network test. Modules on the FD1 and HS1 networks will communicate with the FDRS. Vehicles equipped with a power opening/closing tailgate may also exhibit an inoperative power tailgate. This may be due to a gateway module (GWM) that is not configured properly. To correct this condition, download and run the GWM - Gateway Module A (GWM) Configuration application. For claiming, use causal part number 14G490 and applicable labor times from Section 10 of the Service Labor Times Standard (SLTS) Manual.

If suspected, interview the customer about the concern happening during calls only with specific contacts. If confirmed, have the customer remove any emojis alongside the text of names in their contact list and re-evaluate. Inform customers that Ford is developing a software update that is expected in October. Let the customer know they can continue to drive the vehicle and schedule a follow-up appointment for repair in November. Once the update becomes available, contact the customer and confirm the service appointment is going forward. Monitor OASIS for updates.
