-The oil pump failed while I was driving on the interstate. My vehicle suddenly lost power without warning. There was moderate traffic, and I almost did not make it to the shoulder in time, having to swerve around vehicles. -My vehicle was towed to a Ford Dealership and their service department told me "The engine tore itself apart from the inside" and that repairs would be "About $7000". From there it was towed to my driveway. It has been sitting in my driveway since July 2023. I've been forced to continue making payments on it this entire time. -I attempted to have the recall repair scheduled three times at a Ford dealership, but each attempt failed: *December 2024 (in-person visit): I was turned away and told to schedule later. *January 2025 (phone call): Provided my information, but never received a follow-up. *February 2025 (online service request): Ford never responded. ---Because of Ford’s lack of response, the issue has not been officially confirmed by a dealer, but it matches the symptoms of the oil pump recall (which affects my VIN). -No, the vehicle has not been inspected because Ford has refused to schedule an appointment despite multiple attempts. -No, there were no warning lights, messages, or prior symptoms before the failure. The vehicle suddenly lost power without any prior indication, which made the situation even more dangerous.

I have been waiting on the recall to be fixed for almost 2 years now. I've contacted Ford more times than I can remember, and they don't do anything other than say it's not available yet. I have had to replace the transmission, had many small repairs thinking it was something other than the recall. (I've paid over 2.5k in repairs and 1k in Ubers out of pocket) has 49000 miles, and I do not feel safe driving it at all. I will go somewhere that's within 5 miles, so I know I won't be stuck too far or on the highway, so it is causing MANY inconveniences as well as money for Uber etc. It is paid off and I'm going crazy trying to get this fixed. This is absolutely ridiculous, and I'm beyond FED UP! I keep looking to find a car similar that is NOT a Ford, but they're all too expensive and I don't think it's right I have to pay for FORD'S mistake!

My car went to the dealership service department to be fixed because the recall piece broke in December. Middle of February they told me it was all fixed I picked it up and within 8 hours it wasn’t driving right and had a bunch of alerts. I tried to drive it home it broke down in 2 degrees weather, I was stranded for 35 minutes with no heat. The dealership got the car back had it for a few more weeks. Today they called saying they think it will be fixed. They called this afternoon saying they took it for the test drive and it wouldn’t work.
