Customer Satisfaction Notification T12 VECI Label The Vehicle Emission Control Information (VECI) label on about 120,000 of the above vehicles may be missing emission control information. The VECI label is often used during in-use Inspection and Maintenance (I/M) testing to verify proper emissions related components. Incorrect VECI label information could result in denial of vehicle registration for the vehicle in the state of California. A new VECI label must be installed.

Reverse Lockout Cable If vehicle comes in for a broken reverse lockout cable, you can now order the cable by itself as PN 68376046AA. If vehicle is has the silver OE shift knob, you will also need to order a new upper (68157603A*) and lower (68087185A*) shifter knob pieces. You can find instructions for replacing the cable under LOP 21-75-31-01.

Pentastar Oil Filter Adapter All vehicles equipped with a 3.2L or 3.6L engine; If replacing the Oil Filter Adapter (OFA) due to a leak detected between OFA and block, an O-ring kit (68191356AA) is now available to repair OFA/Block Interface leaks. Using dye will assist in determining source of leak. Ensure OFA Cap Oring is seated in the proper groove in the cap and not damaged or cut. Engineering is seeking information regarding OFA leaks. Accelerator Pedal Before replacing accelerator pedal, be sure to follow fault code diagnostic procedures in service manual. Make sure to check wiring and connectors. P2122 and P2127 will set if accelerator pedal connector is disconnected during diagnosis. Make sure codes are active before replacing pedal. DTC P2299 is usually caused by a two footed driver and accelerator pedal should not be replaced for this fault.

Flash: Powertrain Diagnostic and System Improvements This bulletin involves reprogramming the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with the latest available software. A small number of customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further investigation the technician may find one or more of the following DTCs set in the PCM memory: U1504 - Implausible Message Data Length Received From Steering Angle Sensor. P0128 - Thermostat Rationality. P0335 - Crankshaft Position Sensor Circuit. P0340 - Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 1. U1424-00 - Implausible Engine Torque Signal Received.
