The vehicle was started with the key fob. The vehicle was then driven for 12 miles without a key within the vehicle. I had to bring the key to where the vehicle was located to lock the car and be able to drive it. This has not been inspected.

THIS IS AN UPDATE FOR COMPLAINT # 11619009 After doing some online research and discussing with the service manager at my dealership, we identified a SIMPLE issue- apparently there was a problem with the torque used in connecting the ground wire for the electrical auto start-stop feature, which is what cause my vehicle to completely die and not be able to be restarted. after it was identified, it was corrected within minutes. I highly recommend that there be a service bulletin for any purchasers/lessees of the new 2024 Trailblazer (and possibly other Chevy vehicles) to have the grounding issue checked.

The contact owns a 2024 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. In addition, the contact stated that when the parking brake was released, the vehicle jerked. The contact stated when the accelerator pedal was depressed, the vehicle jerked. The contact stated that whenever the brake pedal was depressed, the vehicle failed to stop as intended. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The vehicle was scheduled for a diagnostic test within several days. In addition, the contact stated that the engine was recently replaced due to an oil leak. The vehicle had been serviced by the dealer several times due to the persistent failures. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.

I am writing to formally express my frustration and disappointment regarding ongoing issues with my vehicle, which I purchased new on [XXX]. Despite repeated efforts to address these concerns with authorized dealers, I have been unable to achieve a resolution. My vehicle currently has 13,630 miles and remains under warranty. However, I feel my concerns are not being taken seriously, and the vehicle's persistent issues are being overlooked or dismissed. Background of the Issue: For over a month, I have been reporting significant electrical problems and other malfunctions with my vehicle. Each authorized dealer I approached assured me that nothing was wrong. To verify these claims, I sought a third-party diagnostic evaluation, which revealed two specific error codes—clear evidence of underlying issues. Details of Dealer Appointments: Appointment: November 25-26, 2024 I entrusted my vehicle to [Dealer Name], where it was kept for two days. Despite this, no diagnostic efforts or repairs were conducted, as confirmed by the service advisor, Erica Jones. Frustrated by the lack of action, I retrieved my vehicle on November 26, 2024. Second Appointment: December 2, 2024: I scheduled another appointment with the same dealer and dropped off my vehicle on December 1, 2024. To my dismay, the paperwork I received at the conclusion of this visit contained several discrepancies: The entry date was listed as November 25, 2024, with a promised completion date of December 2, 2024. This is incorrect, as I had my vehicle from November 26 to December 1, 2024. The mileage recorded at drop-off was less than the actual mileage on the vehicle at that time. The report stated that only one mile was driven during the diagnostic process, which is insufficient for evaluating my concerns thoroughly. Issues Reported: I have consistently reported the following problems with my vehicle: Seatbelt Malfunction: The seatbelts fail to secure me during sudden braking situations,etc... SERVICE BRAKES
The brakes have been squeaking and making grinding noises since I hit 13,000 miles.it was intermittent at first, and was only happening when I was slowly hitting the brakes,but every time I stop now you can hear them squeak or make noise..i took it to a local mechanic and they said the brakes look ok, but to check with the dealer. I took the car to the dealership and they said they didn’t hear the squeaking or grinding but they gave me a pamphlet that said the brakes just do that, that it’s normal they are making sounds and the pamphlet said possibly reasons why they are noisy.the brakes sounding like that is not normal,because they don’t sound good, and they seem to be getting worse.

My daughter was stopped at a stoplight and the auto-stop engaged. The light turned green and she began to accelerate when all of the error lights on the dash lit up, then the dash info system and infotainment system went out followed by the engine turning off and not restarting. While all of this happened, the vehicle behind me struck my daughter’s car. Luckily it was at a low rate of speed and no one was injured. I took the car to the dealer and after nearly a week of testing they found nothing wrong and found no error codes in the system. They ere not able to replicate the problem. However, once we got the vehicle back a similar instance happed again, except just the dash info system and infotainment system went out and the car was still drivable. Once restarted the electronics came back on as normal. It has not happened again at this point. Had the first incident happened at a higher rate of speed a severe injury or fatality could have occurred.

The contact owns a 2024 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that while driving 3-65 MPH there was an abnormal squealing sound detected. When the brake pedal was applied, the vehicle shuddered and skipped. There seemed to be a pulsation in the brakes. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that the failure was related to Bulletin Number 22-NA-026: The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who determined there was 10 percent braking. There was devitt in the rear brakes and rotors. The caliper pin placement was off. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined the brakes needed to be replaced and resurfaced. The brakes were replaced. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.

I was driving my 1 week old vehicle, on a city street, foot still on the gas, and the vehicle COMPLETELY shut down; no power at all. it wasn't the auto start/stop technology, but rather a complete power down. no lights, no hazard lights, no dash, nothing worked. The car came to an abrupt stop. The gear shift could not be moved into neutral, nothing. Luckily I was on a city street with not a lot of traffic. If I had been on a highway it could have caused a SERIOUS accident; if I had been driving across railroad tracks and it stops - very dangerous. I was able to contact AAA, and after a "jump", it started. However, because of my proximity to the highway, I opted to have it towed to the dealer where I bought it....they ran service on it and can find nothing wrong with it...as you can imagine, I am nervous to drive on the highway (which I do 5 days a week normally)...

See Prior Report 11603493 on 7/19/2024. [XXX] Engine. light on -Stabiltrak Stability - Control System Requires your attention NOW. Cernohous Chevrolet "repaired". Then [XXX] Engine light on again. Cernohous Chevrolet" repaired." [XXX] Engine light on for the 3rd time. They have had my 2024 Trailblazer since [XXX]. It might be a wiring issue or switch needs replaced per Ron Murphy and Jack. I am concerned this vehicle purchased new - cash- is a lemon. Other than yes the Engine light is on - no one can tell me the meaning and correct it. How serious - Dangerous to drive ??? While in traffic, brand new 2024 Chevy Trailblazer vehicle has stalled on us a few times now and doesn't start right back up. It appears to happen when the vehicle is going from the fuel saving "start-stop mode" and we've found ourselves in a precarious situtations in traffic. I can foresee this happening at a very dangerous time causing a bad wreck. We just dropped the vehicle off with the dealer as we've had other issues with safety deterrent system going off for no reason and other pop ups on the instrument panel. However, the stalling in the middle of traffic is my worst concern.

UNKNOWN OR OTHER, LANE DEPARTURE: BLIND SPOT DETECTION, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
The audio in the vehicle goes out the radio and the warning sounds for all the safety alerts. The vehicle has been to the dealer 3 times the problem still is occurring. The problem is random no telling when it will occur. I have called GM customer service they were useless. When the audio for the vehicle goes out when I turn off the vehicle if it sits most of the time the audio will come back on. Today 8/18/2024 the audio went out twice no sounds for anything blinkers, lane assist, side mirror alert, stop alert nothing. This also affects the radio. The service department tells me they are dependent on the GM IT guys who in my assessment have no idea how to fix this. This is a safety and hazard problem with all sound going out for all alert systems.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
This has happened twice with my vehicle that the emergency brakes and alert are not working. I had to slam on brakes just to stop from hitting the car in front of me. The emergency brakes did not work at all. I have it on in my car.
