I keep on getting the Service Brake System warning, even when I am not pulling a trailer. When I am pulling a trailer the warning comes on and I lose all braking on the trailer and it usually blows the trailer brake fuse. This has been happening intermittently for the last two years and now is more frequent. Now I heard there is a recall on the same scenario but my VIN number is not included. Now what?

After parking my vehicle overnight, I started it up in the morning and it immediately said "Service Power Steering, Please Drive With Care" and also said "Service ESC". I could not steer the vehicle when these messages were displayed. I was able to get the vehicle to work normally by turning it off, waiting a few minutes and turning it back on. This is extremely dangerous if the vehicle decides to do this during a drive.

Transmission failed. Safety was put at risk for me and others, truck started jerking. The problem has been confirmed by a dealer and has been at a dealership since June 2024, it is now almost December 2024. They were waiting on a new transmission to come in due to these transmissions were put on back order. There were no warning lamps or messages on dash. The truck just started jerking while driving and it was very unsafe to drive. We had to have truck towed to dealership.

The truck is only three years old with 123,000 miles and the transmission needs to be replaced. I took the truck to Chevy and they said the transmission is bad and they need to replace it. GM and Chevy will NOT cover the cost to replace the transmission or help with any cost. This truck is fairly new and it's a lot that the transmission is already bad. Chevy quoted me $7,990 for new transmission with install.

The 10 speed transmission suddenly downshifts when slowing down. It goes from like 8th to like 3rd suddenly and the rpm’s shoot way up. The wheels do not skid on pavement but will be an issue when the roads get slick here in West Virginia. This is a serious safety concern. This has happened many times since I purchased the truck. The dealer in the past has told me the transmission needs flushed. But now I’m seeing that there is a recall for new transmission software. I would like to have this update please before the roads get slick from snow and ice.

The back window is leaking water into the cab. Water enters the cab any time it rains or when washing the truck. This water is creating a damp environment by soaking into the back of the seat, the carpet, and the headliner, creating the potential for black mold. Immediately after purchasing the truck, the dealership had me bring it back in so they could fix it. Ever since the repair from the dealership, the window has continued to leak at the same rate that it did before the fix.

There is an issue with the transmission. My vehicle had started shifting erratically and became very clunky. At highway speeds, my truck will shutter and shift up and down for no reason while remaining at a constant speed. I took it to a certified mechanic and I was told it is a matter of time before my transmission completely fails. I have an invoice confirming these claims. This is a very wide spread issue with these 8-speed transmissions. I was told by the mechanic that the 2020-2024 models of the EXACT SAME TRUCK are now receiving recalls on the exact same transmission yet the 2019s are being overlooked.

We were heading on vacation to Florida on the evening of [XXX].While driving [XXX] towards Athens, Alabama we heard a squealing noise from our engine that lasted a minute then it stopped. We got off at the closest exit and realized that we had “No Brakes “. I prayed for our safety. Our truck ran through two stoplights that were red at the time. I downshifted the vehicle and stood on the brakes (hard pedal) and jumped over two concrete curbs before it finally came to a stop. We had it towed to Champion Chevrolet dealership in Athens Alabama. They diagnosed the problem as a brake vacuum pump that locked up and broke the belt too leaving us with no brakes at all. Champion Chevrolet worked us in and replaced the vacuum pump and belt. And got us back on the road for our vacation. We had to pay for a tow truck $100. An overnight stay at a hotel $150. I’m concerned about the tires, rims, alignment and suspension being damaged by jumping over the concrete curbs. I’m requesting a free inspection at a local Chevrolet dealership to thoroughly inspect and repair any damaged parts and a realignment. I also am out of pocket $250 for the tow and hotel room. I feel I’m being fair to ask for reimbursement and repairs. The dealership didn’t charge me for the repairs of the vacuum pump and drive belt as it was covered by a special recall (N182202780). Please direct me for escalation of reimbursement ,complimentary inspection and repair of my 2017 Silverado suspension or damages involved in this incident.
