My 2020 Chevrolet Silverado rear window leaks causing mold on headliner and carpeting and if running electric defrost during rain it makes a sizzling noise afraid of electrical issues as well if not correct and the mold makes the interior environment unsafe for breathing

SERVICE BRAKES
Was Driving my 2019 silverado home and a warning light came on said service ESC and something about speed is set to 45mph max. Then the truck would not go.I pulled over and tried to figure out what was going on. Luckly I was able to make it home got out my code reader and check the codes they were P25A2 and C053D. I have looked up these codes I see them all over the internet other people are having them as well. I checked for recalls I dont see any for this issue. Are there any fix for this issue?

I have a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and the OnStar is completely out the dealership say they have no idea when a module will be ready. I have talked to and seen several forums on this. Everyone states it’s a huge problem and now they want to charge up to $1000 to replace the module it is not covered by warranty. I cannot even use my navigation my security all the things that OnStar provides due to this module problem they have it seems to be getting bigger and more widespread. We should not have to pay for something that has nothing to do with the warranty of the truck. It is a malfunction with OnStar and Chevrolet

The contact owns a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while driving 70 MPH during inclement weather, the transmission unexpectedly downshifted hard, jerking the vehicle, and while slowing down the contact observed a squeaking sound coming from the front of the vehicle. The contact stated that while depressing the accelerator pedal the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was steered off the highway and turned off. The vehicle was not able to be restarted. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 34,000.

SERVICE BRAKES
The brake pedal pivot bolt nut loosened itself and came off of the bolt, allowing the bolt to back out of the pedal mount and the brake pedal fell out of position and became lodged behind the accelerator pedal. Thankfully no accident occurred. After performing research with local dealer and independent repair shop it was found to be an obvious repeat failure of the General Motors safety recall #20760E already performed on the vehicle. I reached out to GM customer support who were rude and I received no help in the matter. Can provide more information upon request.

Noticeable at night. Headlights on, turn signal on, foot on brake slowing down, making a turn, 1) headlights flicker, 2) headlights flicker and complete dash goes black, or 3) all of #2 and steering goes stiff. Has been happening more often. Last time, during the day, turning against oncoming traffic and engine shutdown, started again, shutdown and started, again with dash going black and steering went stiff. When the engine stops and restarts, it does it on its own. I don’t need to turn the ignition key. Very unnerving. My wife won’t drive the truck. Safety at risk is a “yes”. I have noticed when this all happens, the traction control wording comes on the dash and a bell rings. All this has been happening over the last six months. Vehicle only has 94K miles on it.

While driving at 65 MPH, on the highway, , the truck , suddenly, without warning, shifted into neutral gear,, we were able to coast / navigate to the side of the road, turn off the engine and restart. It worked fine for about a week then a second incident occurred - same situation but car engine could not be turned off, could not put into park , or drive.. car stalled. Eventually, we were able to get the car started, but we took it to the nearest Chevrolet dealer, as we were afraid to drive very far with this situation. This ia a huge safety concern, there are no warning lights, messages , prior symptoms or anything .. passengers and other drivers are at risk for an accident to occur. The problem has been confirmed by the dealer at Classic Chevrolet. They have indicated the engine must be replaced. This car is new and only had 26,000 miles. It is on warranty. The Engine is on backorder with no ETA. We have been without our truck for 7 going on 8 weeks now. We keep contacting the dealer but still no outlook for an engine. We have called GM manufacturing but get no where with customer service or customer reps. They promise call back but then it turns into constant phone tag with a TAT of 24-48 hours if we miss their phone call. The car was purchased new [XXX]. The first occurrence of this problem was [XXX]. Second occurrence was [XXX]. Truck as been at Classic Chevrolet Dealer in Grapevine, Tx since [XXX]. Day after driving to n a snow storm the vehicles stabilitrak and traction control light and message to service those came on the dash and a sudden lose of power. I pulled over and put it in park noticing the gear indicator on the dash was gone. I put in drive and could barely move. So I shifted to 1st gear then back to park and into drive and the light came off and it was back to normal. The next day I started the vehicle and the light was on again with the check engine light. And stuck in limp mode. There are forums I've read with thousands of people with the same problem. The vehicle is available for inspection. The safety concerns are the traction control and stabilitrak can affect the way it handles and brakes. The vehicle will be going to dealership. There where no warning light prior to. The lights and systems failed simultaneously. This vehicle only has 44000 miles on it, no rust the frame is mint. This is a very clean truck and shouldn't be having this kind of problem.

Around [XXX] on [XXX] the vehicle shut down with no codes showing or any warning. The weather was approximately 13* f. After many failed attempts to restart, and the electrical systems would not power down as if the vehicle thought it was still running. The only way to get the system to shut down was to disconnect the battery. i had to physically push the vehicle to a safe location. The next morning I attempted to diagnose the issue with no success. I had the vehicle hauled to the dealership from which it was purchased in Idaho to have it inspected. Tuesday morning I received word from the dealership that the engine suffered major failure. This will be the 3rd engine in the vehicle. I am uneasy about the dependability of the vehicle as I have recently discovered that this particular engine is having massive failures all over the country. So much so that the NHTSA has opened an investigation for the purposes of safety. I purchased the vehicle for the main purpose of pulling a snowmobile trailer with snowmobile to the mountains and also to tow my boat and trailer. Both of these activities require a vehicle in which I can depend on. While I am waiting for a back order engine the dealership and manufacturer refuse to lend a like vehicle, leaving destitute. I am hoping that this agency can offer some assistance, and I believe it's important that you are made aware of the hazard that this particular engine possesses. As I previously mentioned this the 3rd engine and As far as I can see this will occur again putting myself and others potentially in harms way because of a known issue. This does not make me feel confident of the safety of the vehicle. Be aware where i live there grades in every direction and extreme weather conditions from season to season. Date of purchase [XXX]. Date of incident [XXX]. I was on my way to work at [XXX] and it was raining . Truck would not accelerate more than 45 miles an hour speed limit is 65 on the freeway. Engine light turned on and all the dashboard icons turned on. Drove it to the nearest dealership Tom Bell Chevrolet in Redlands Ca. Once I put vehicle in park it would not start. The message on the dashboard board displayed something like unable to access. So I went to see if service center open since it was [XXX]. He instructed me to drive around I said it will be not go into motion. After 15 minutes I checked the status on my phone and it did not display anything wrong so I went ahead and turned it on and drove it to the service center but once again it would not accelerate and shock vigorously. Once in the service line it turned off and did not stay on. Dealership ran diagnostics he mentioned cylinder and piston but they need to run more test. He called me back 2/14/25 asked if I had taken it to the dealership where I bought since purchased I said no it’s brand new, it looks tampered with . Called me back again and said this vehicle had a motor recall and a technician at Riverside Chevy worked on it and all the components are not connected we can work on it it need to go back to them and they need to explain what is wrong. He sent them a video of the tech looking at everything that was wrong. Truck was towed to Riverside Chevrolet [XXX]. This is a brand new vehicle that only had 17 miles when purchased by me ,at the moment it has 709 miles non of the components of this vehicle are new anymore they are either melted or rattling inside ,the gas tank sounded like empty cans rolling around, the transmission would not make the vehicle move. we were informed by dealer that there is a recall reguarding some software that needs to be updated to reduce the chance of battery drainage. The catch is they are trying to sell us a part for $567.00 to be installed so they can update the software to fix the problem. (Terry Thompson Chevy)
