The Audi warranty coverage is based on the results of developing the vehicle under the factory calibration. If a vehicle is equipped with unauthorized hardware or software tuning, it can cause stress on vehicle components outside of intended design limits, and can cause damage and additional wear. Subsequently, factory powertrain warranty coverage is reduced or voided.

At R8 Certified Dealers and R8 Service Points, prior authorization or a TAC ticket are not required for routine maintenance, PDI, or repairs for which a TSB applies. These procedures are mandatory until further notice. Warranty repairs without repair authorization via a Technical Assistance Center contact will not be reimbursed.
