  Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 01 number 13-75 dated March 13, 2013. If a model year 2014 Audi Q5 TDI, A6 TDI, A7 TDI, or A8L TDI clean diesel (engine code CPNA or CPNB) requires diagnosis or repair of the engine, diesel fuel delivery, exhaust after-treatment (SCR/AdBlue and emissions) systems, or transmission, a Repair Authorization is necessary prior to repair. This also applies to any messages related to AdBlue shown in the DIS. These procedures are mandatory until further notice. Routine maintenance, PDI, and repair of other systems do not require prior authorization or a TAC ticket. Any repairs related to the engine, diesel fuel delivery, exhaust after-treatment (SCR/AdBlue or emissions) systems, or transmission completed without Repair Authorization via a Technical Assistance Center (TAC) contact will not be reimbursed. In an effort to gain information on the systems listed above, we are asking that you contact TAC before replacing any parts. This will assist us in diagnosing any potential issues.

  VAS-PC Audi Brand DVD V19.48.00, (Technical Literature ordering number A48.5001.21.21) is being shipped to all Audi dealers. Hardware problems during the installation of new Brand DVDs are minimized if users regularly perform the Windows hard disc maintenance utility ?chkdsk?. If your device has never had hard disc maintenance performed via the Windows ?chkdsk? utility, please perform this maintenance prior to installation of this Brand update, and ensure that it be performed on a regular basis to ensure reliable software functions. Brand DVD V19.48.00 must only be installed on VAS-PC testers that were previously updated with Base V19.01.01. After installation of the Brand DVD, all stored Diagnosis Jobs are erased; therefore complete work beforehand if required. DO NOT install the Brand DVD V19.48.00 on VAS 5051A or 5052 testers.

  Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 00 number 10-01 dated February 5, 2010. Excessive accumulation of deposits on intake valves, intake manifold, fuel injectors and combustion chambers. Engine runs rough after cold start. Excessive engine cranking time. Hesitations while driving. Rough engine idle. Reduced engine performance. Poor fuel economy. Conditions may be severe enough to illuminate the MIL in conjunction with storage of DTCs for misfire (example: P0300, P030x) and / or lean fuel system (example: P0171, P0174, P1128, P1130, P1136, P1138) in the engine control module (ECM). Condition may be caused by use of contaminated gasoline. Condition may be caused by use of gasoline with a low content of deposit control additives.
