The front passenger seat weight sensor may crack and short circuit, which can cause the air bags to deploy unintentionally during a crash.
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2021-2025 Acura TLX, 2023-2025 Acura MDX, and 2023-2025 Honda Pilot vehicles. The brake pedal pivot pin was not secured properly, which can cause the pedal to shift out of position. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment" and 135, "Light Vehicle Brake Systems."
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2022-2025 Acura MDX Type-S, 2023-2025 Honda Pilot, and 2021-2025 Acura TLX Type-S vehicles. A software error in the fuel injection electronic control unit (FI-ECU) may cause an engine stall or a loss of power.
The vehicle is showing LOW SPEED BRAKING CONTROL and BRAKE SYSTEM PROBLEMS, it is also throwing DTC Codes B2600-97; B2627-96; B2630-96; B2637-11; P2583-76 and P2583-97, as I consider the vehicle unsafe to drive or operate and it is a leased vehicle I took it to the same Acura dealer I leased the vehicle from, in order to have it repaired and put back to a normal operating status and make it safe to drive and operate. I took it to the dealer, advantage Acura of Naperville, on Friday October 9, 2026. The dealer is refusing to repair the braking failure under the manufactures warranty, as the vehicle only has 31thousand miles on it, and it still is within the manufactures warranty period.

VIN: [XXX]: 2024 Acura MDXComponents: Engine, Electrical System, Powertrain (Auto Idle-Stop)Ref Investigation: NHTSA EA25-004 (Upgraded from PE22-005) Dealer: Acura Carland ([XXX])SAFETY DEFECT SUMMARY:Severe safety hazard involving the Auto Idle-Stop system. The vehicle repeatedly shuts off at stops (intersections, traffic lights) and fails or struggles to restart, leaving it stranded with zero motive power in active traffic and creating immediate collision risk. DEALER FAILURE & PROTOCOL DEVIATION:Under warranty, Acura Carland diagnosed excessive starter electrical draw and replaced the starter motor. This was a superficial fix. Per Honda/Acura technical directives (e.g., TSB 23-009 / NHTSA [XXX] and [XXX]), high starter current draw during idle-stop restart stems from root mechanical drag (valve clearances) and faulty relays. Replacing only the starter ignored the root cause, leading directly to repeat failure. The identical failure recurred. Upon returning to Acura Carland, dealership personnel dismissed my concerns, disregarded published technical notices and federal investigation references, and refused to escalate to Honda Technical Information & Support (TIS) or a Field Technical Specialist.NHTSA EA25-004 NEXUS:Directly matches active investigation EA25-004 (2.2M Honda/Acura 3.5L vehicles). ODI specifically noted restart failures persist even after software updates and starter motor replacements. My vehicle demonstrates that 2024 MDX models suffer the identical vulnerability and dealers are performing inadequate component swaps. RELIEF REQUESTED:Incorporate VIN [XXX] into EA25-004.Mandate American Honda enforce root-cause dealer repair protocols (valve adjustments, starter relays).Compel a safety recall and full warranty extension covering all Auto Idle-Stop, ignition, valve train, and starter components. The contact owns a 2024 Acura MDX. The contact stated that while driving approximately 20 MPH and driving over construction steel plates on the roadway, the brakes independently engaged while the accelerator pedal was depressed. The contact stated that the failure could have caused a rear-end crash while driving at faster speeds with other vehicles nearby and posed a risk to her 1-year-old child seated the car seat in the second-row rear seats. The BRAKE warning light was illuminated. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure by telephone. The failure mileage was approximately 21,642.

The windshield on this 2024 MDX must be replaced because of the rear view mirror coming loose from the windshield. Acura is dragging their feet on correcting this dangerous situation of preventing the ability to see or use the rear view mirror.

I am reporting a potential safety defect involving the rear windshield glass on my Acura MDX. The rear windshield unexpectedly shattered while the vehicle was stationary, with no known impact or contact with an outside object. I was present when the glass shattered and immediately took multiple photographs and videos before the vehicle was moved. Based on what I observed, the glass appeared to break outward rather than from an outside object striking the vehicle. I later drove the vehicle from my home to the Acura dealership after being advised to do so. By the time the vehicle was inspected, portions of the shattered glass were understandably missing. The dealership later identified an area of missing glass as a possible “point of impact,” although I witnessed the event and there was no impact. I am submitting this complaint because I am concerned that the rear glass may have failed spontaneously and could represent a safety issue. Unexpected glass shattering could potentially occur while a vehicle is being driven and could startle a driver, expose occupants to broken glass, or impair visibility. I am also aware that Acura has previously issued technical service information regarding rear windshield glass on certain RDX vehicles shattering without external impact. I understand that my vehicle is an MDX and may not be covered by the same issue, but I believe the circumstances warrant documentation and review for a possible pattern.
