Lexus Electrified Vehicles Transformed into Art by MSCHF

Lexus has partnered with the Brooklyn-based conceptual art collective MSCHF to create two new sculptural works from its electrified vehicles. These pieces, titled "Circle Car" and "Twisted Car," will be featured in the "MOTOMORPHOSIS" exhibition, which opens this September in New York during Armory Week. The exhibition aims to explore the imaginative potential of electrification beyond traditional vehicle function.

Artistic Transformation of Lexus Vehicles

MSCHF utilized a Lexus RZ 450e battery-electric vehicle and a Lexus RX 450h+ plug-in hybrid for the project. The RZ 450e was transformed into "Circle Car," a sculpture that appears looped nose-to-tail, suggesting infinite motion. The RX 450h+ became "Twisted Car," dramatically altered with longitudinal torsion, giving its lines a liquified appearance and pulling surface features along a spiraling body.

The collective describes these creations as "Form Cars," distinguishing them from traditional "Concept Cars." While concept vehicles are engineered to showcase future movement, these sculptures are designed to evoke the idea of movement through their distorted forms. The MOTOMORPHOSIS Exhibition Details

The MOTOMORPHOSIS exhibition will be open to the public for a three-day period at Chelsea Industrial in New York.
