Acura Secures Fifth and Seventh at Indianapolis IMSA Race

Acura Meyer Shank Racing concluded the penultimate round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship at Indianapolis Motor Speedway with a fifth-place finish for the #60 ARX-06 and a seventh-place finish for the #93 ARX-06. The event, marked by multiple caution periods, precedes Acura's final race in the series at Petit Le Mans, signaling the end of its participation in the championship.

Race Performance at Indianapolis

The #60 Acura ARX-06, driven by Tom Blomqvist and Colin Braun, started from pole position. Blomqvist maintained the lead through an early full-course caution. Following a pit stop and driver change, Colin Braun rejoined the race in fourth, as several competitors opted for a short-fill fuel strategy. The duo ultimately crossed the finish line in fifth place in the Acura IMSA Indianapolis race.

The sister #93 Acura ARX-06, piloted by Nick Yelloly and Renger van der Zande, began the race in fifth. An incident with a competitor on the opening lap forced Yelloly to the back of the field. Despite recovering positions, co-driver van der Zande experienced two additional on-track contacts during his stint. The #93 car finished seventh.

Tom Blomqvist of the #60 car described the race as difficult, citing struggles with overall pace that led to losing positions. Nick Yelloly of the #93 car indicated their race was compromised early by the Turn 2 incident.
