Acura Returns to Watkins Glen as Defending Six Hours Champions

Acura is preparing to compete in the Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen at Watkins Glen International on June 28, 2026. The manufacturer enters the event as the reigning champions, having secured victory in the 2025 race. This year, Acura will field two ARX-06 hybrid prototypes, continuing its participation in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

Acura's Entry and Driver Lineup

Acura will enter two hybrid-powered ARX-06 machines for the 2026 Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen. The #60 Acura Meyer Shank Racing entry will be piloted by Tom Blomqvist and Colin Braun, the duo who claimed victory in the 2025 event.

The #93 ARX-06 will feature full-season drivers Renger van der Zande and Nick Yelloly. They will be joined by Honda Racing Corporation-backed Japanese driver Kaku Ohta for this endurance race. Renger van der Zande achieved back-to-back wins in 2015 and 2016, alongside three additional podiums (2021, 2022, 2024). Tom Blomqvist has two podiums (2022, 2023) and the 2025 victory, and Nick Yelloly recorded a win in 2023. These achievements highlight the team's strength heading into the Acura Six Hours Glen.
