Repair Procedure Summary

The repair procedure detailed in TSB 19-001-26 involves inspecting and potentially tightening the tie rod and drag link adjustment clamp fasteners. The steps are as follows:

1. The vehicle is first positioned on a lift, following standard hoisting procedures.
2. The front wheels are turned fully to the left to provide access to the drag link adjuster fastener. Technicians then ensure that the torque on both the draglink adjustment clamp fastener (as shown in Fig. 1) and the tie rods adjustment clamp fasteners (as shown in Fig. 2) meet the specified torque of 46 N·m (34 ft lbs.).
3. If the fasteners are already torqued to specification, the bulletin is complete, and the Inspect Labor Operation (19-63-04-90) is used to close the active RSU.
4. If the fasteners are not to specification, the draglink adjustment clamp fastener and both tie rod adjustment clamp fasteners are torqued to 46 N·m (34 ft lbs.).
5. Finally, the vehicle is lowered from the lift.
