The two headlights have appeared to have condensation due to sealing problem of the headlight. When the light bulbs and beam heat up the air with moisture, it will leave water inside of the headlight cover. This will increase the safety risks when we were driving on the road. There is no warning message for that. The problem should not be normal and this should really be manufacturer’s problem to fix.

FACTORY INSTALLED SPARE TIRE FAILED TO INFLATE AND ATTACH TO WHEEL RIM WHEN NEEDED TO REPLACE A FLAT TIRE. NONE OF THE SERVICE TECHNICIANS WITH AAA, DISCOUNT TIRE OR PORSCHE DEALERSHIPS WERE ABLE TO DO SO. THERE WERE NO VISIBLE DEFECTS ON OR IN THE SPARE. THE TIRE HAD BEEN USED POSSIBLY ONLY ONCE BEFORE THIS INCIDENT. PORSCHE REFUSED TO REPLACE IT AND I WAS FORCED TO BUY A NEW ONE BECAUSE IT WAS OUT OF WARRANTY

While driving vehicle, noticed some slippage/clunking when turning. Took vehicle to Porsche dealer, they said transfer case needed to be replaced. Car has 12,600 original miles on it. Dealer said there was an extended warranty on the transfer case that had expired. In researching, it became obvious that there is a Porsche design problem that affected several model years for the Cayenne. As a mechanical engineer I am concerned that a transfer case failure at freeway speeds could be dangerous. Separately an auto mechanic shop opined that driving without replacing could be a safety concern. In my opinion there should have been a recall rather than a extended warranty.

2019 Porsche Cayennes (and other Porsche models) have LiFe P04 lithium batteries that have an internal Battery Control Module that causes a "Battery Low " indication. Porsche has been updating the software/ firmware for this module, only for it to fail again. Eventually, the battery will fail, lose charge, and become dead. There are no after market batteries available and if you are 1 mile out of the warranty period, Porsche forces you to buy a new replacement battery from them for over $2,000.00 USD plus labor. This battery failure condition for vehicles with this type of battery is well known by Porsche and they now use a completely different type of battery in their newer models. This failure should be considered a Safety issue and concern since the battery powers every safety feature the vehicle has to offer. There are pages upon pages of testimonies on the Rennlist forum website for Porsche owners and all have been advised to contact Porsche Cars North America and only a small percentage have had any luck with that. Porsche should release a recall to modify the system to the newer, more dependable battery for affected vehicles.

I was driving the auto and parked in my garage without any indication of a fault. I attempted to start the car about 30 minutes later and the car would not start and gave an error message that said "change driver" I tried both keys and neither would allow the car to be started. There was no starter noise indicating a weak battery. I had to have the car towed to the dealer after the tow company found a way to unlock the drive shaft with a key that is part of the car service tools. I could not move the car if I had stopped on a roadside. The dealer had never seen this issue before. The car was in the shop for a week to correct the fault from March 23 to March 31. The dealer claimed it was a software fault. There were no warning indicators or messages that something was wrong with any component or system.

Porsches with LiFePO4 Lithium batteries (like mine 2019 Cayenne S) have a software/hardware error that causes the battery to incorrectly send a code to the battery management system so that it will suddenly shutdown the battery permanently and will require a full battery replacement, which the dealers abuse its customers by charging $3,000 to $5,000 dollars and give a battery replacement date as almost one year later. Porsche has internal TSBs but it is not recalling all the customers to have the software update for the controller/sensor bug/defect so that the battery management system will not overcharge the Lithium battery and damage it or cause the battery to issue a software code that preventsbthe battery from waking up or be usable. Texas has temperatures of 110 F, and becoming stranded because the battery gets incorrectly/permanently shutdown is a death sentence to Porsche customers. Porsche is being arrogant with their customers and deeply profiting from this know defect. There are a series of small battery shops that are making money from Porsche’s defective battery controllers/sensors and charge around $500 to $800 to replace the battery sensor/controller and programming the new controller as long as you send them your dead battery. Porsche will not reprogram rhe battery controller/sensor if you replace the original battery, with no explanation on why. Anybody driving a Porsche vehicle that have these battery defects in the controller/sensor/programming will perish, together with their passengers, if the battery gets shutdown and become unusable in a 100+ F, 110+F or if yhey get stranded in a freezing situation. It's a deadly time bomb waiting to happen, if it hasn't happen already since Porsche is not being straightforward. Porsche even sells these defective Lithium LiFePO4 batteries on old cars 2019 models and others, and does not disclose to them that the battery can die unexpectely and hjat the battery is not within the warranty.

In September 2022 the yellow battery warning light appeared on my dash while my car was still under warranty. Porsche had an open Campaign WMJ9 that involved a software update that resolved the issue. Last month, June, while my car was now out of warranty the same yellow warning light appeared but this time the dealership recommended i replace the battery at a cost of $3,200 Porsche refuses to accept that these 2 instances are related and that the battery should be covered since the software update during my first service visit didn't offer a long term solution. to make matters worse the lithium battery used in my vehicle has been an issue for porsche to say the least.

Car was purchased new 063023. Prior to purchase dealer told up car is due for a software update. At purchase, we got a piece of paper stating car was due for " a COMPREHENSIVE " software update and we could delay taking delivery. We decided to take delivery. But, what we were not told then was that Porsche Group, Porsche NA, under the direction of their owners, Volkswagen Group - Germany, was not providing owners with owners manuals for their new 2024 cars that would be getting the updates. Our paper manual references "See Digital' or "Digital" more than 300 times. Through either the car PCM or an App or Online, owners are suppose to be able to get Digital Content to show how to operate the car. So far, we have not been given access to our "Digital" manual. We've opened 2 cases with Porsche NA, no's 8000069845 and 44, made numerous calls to C/S for Porsche who directs us back to the dealer , who is unable to find any digital content and says that Porsche has not installed it in the car and none is available. Porsche tech support is unable to locate the content in the car, online or in the app. We are requesting all applicable Owners Manual info. so that we can safely operate our new car. Porsche NA refuses to give us access to the 'Digital' manual for our car. Subsequently I was given documentation which showed that the dealer was specifically directed to not make available to purchasers of new cars the digital manual. I fail to see how a manufacturer is allowed to sell cars w/o providing operator manuals? in each of the uploaded .jpeg files there is suppose to be a Manual icon. There are none... And also shows App not available in our area

Problem with the hybrid system and the engine control system. Unit changed automatically and unexpectedly from battery power mode to engine power mode when on battery power mode only. This change is not supposed to happen. This failure happened when starting the unit, put on drive and starting to move forward. This failure caused the unit to charge forward with more power unexpectedly. Causing almost to collide. At the time of the failure “engine control system” warning and “e power not available” warning lid up. The unit has been for service for 10 times with the same warnings powering up. At this time the unit has been on service for almost four month.

For the past nine years, my vehicle has recorded multiple safety issues (trunk not closing/breaking, check engine light, catalytic converter misfire, keyless electronic entry issues, glow bulb light, turn signal bulb light, windows not rolling up, leaking fluid on the passenger side, burning smell coming from the vents, electrical issues with the radio, sunroof intermittently not opening/closing and the key not turning the vehicle on. Over the past nine years, I have taken the vehicle to numerous Porsche dealerships per the federal mandate from Porsche USA / Porsche UK. To date, the Service Manager, Chris Sansbury and General Manager at Brian Harris Porsche, and Porsche USA, refuse to fix the vehicle. My vehicle is still under factory warranty. I am a person with multiple disabilities. The dealerships (Jim Ellis Porsche, Hennessy Porsche, Leith Porsche, Brian Harris Porsche) have charged me thousands of dollars. I have been extremely sick and desperately need your help. Please help me!

At slow speed, under acceleration, the transfer case slips, and makes a thumping noise. Over time, the car has poor acceleration when trying to get up to speed with other cars. The dealer has confirmed that this is a problem with Porsche Cayennes. Thank you.

The contact owns a 2006 Porsche Cayenne. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V576000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The contact stated that the dealer retrieved the vehicle from the residence to perform the recall repair; however, the dealer confirmed that they were unable to access the fuel pump and fuel filter due to the corroded locking collars. The contact stated that after receiving the vehicle from the dealer, a fuel odor was detected while exiting the vehicle. Additionally, there was gasoline leaking underneath the rear driver's side tire onto the ground while the contact was at the gas station to refuel. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 213,697.

my car had a problem in the hybrid part, before doing the diagnosis they said 3 different problems, when they gave me the diagnosis they said they didn't know what it was but that to begin with “it could be “ the components $13,000 to fix. but my car is under the 8 years or 100,000mls hybrid system warranty, so i contacted porshe headquarters and they said the car was out of warranty. so i called porche in Fremont (where they have mentioned the warranty on their website) and 3 people confirmed that the car is under warranty by VIN n. I called headquarters again and they said they needed this guarantee in writing. So when I called Fremont again 3 weeks later they said the car is not under warranty, meaning they changed the whole conversation within 3 weeks. I already confirmed it on CARFAX and I am under warranty but I never received any responses to emails or phone calls they are ignoring me because they don't want to assume the warranty. Fremont confirmed that I had 6 months or 19,000 miles until the warranty expired, and strangely 3 weeks later that warranty no longer appears in their system. in my opinion they don't know what the car has and they are trying to escape the warranty because there are few months left to finish, that's why they don't give me answers, I haven't tried all possible options and I can't find help to solve this problem, I'm stuck at home dor the last 3 months with 2 children without car. because my only car is at the porsche parked waiting for someone to take over the car's warranty. mentioned that the car had no accident, it was just parked in the garage and one morning it didn't start and had to be towed. Terrible costumer service

I have a 2011 model Porsche Cayenne S. From the service records, I can tell the car has had two transfer cases already replaced and is in need of another. The first transfer case was replaced in mid-2016 by the dealer at about 46,000 miles. The second transfer case was replaced just over 12,000 miles later, at 58,500 miles, in late 2019. Both replacements were done by the previous owner. This should have been the newest and most updated transfer case with the new control modules and GNC-coated plates, but this does not appear to have solved the problems Porsche is having with the transfer cases. It is now mid-2023, and an independent shop says I need another transfer case in my car at 76,000 miles. It is hard to believe that Porsche considered the upgraded parts (2018+) to be a permanent solution, especially when it only lasted about 17,000 miles. I will hopefully be able to have my local dealership dissect the transfer case I am replacing so that I can learn more about what actually failed on this updated unit. Transfer cases are a major part of the vehicle and should be expected to last just as long as other major components (ex. engine, transmission). It is very unsafe when any major part of the drive train fails. PS. One of the main reasons for purchasing this specific cayenne was because I believed the transfer case it had installed in 2019 would have solved all of these issues and I would not need to replace it again.
