SummaryAnti-Lock Braking System (ABS)/Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) Reprogramming Voluntary Service Campaign Dealer Announcement: Nissan is conducting a Voluntary Service Campaign to reprogram the Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS)/Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) control unit on affected vehicles. The reprogramming will improve vehicle stability during an evasive double lane-change driving maneuver. What Dealers Should Do: 1.Verify if vehicles are affected by this Voluntary Service Campaign using Service Comm or DBS National Service History â Open Campaigns I.D. P1A01. 2.Dealers are requested to reprogram any affected vehicles in dealer new or pre-owned inventory to ensure customer satisfaction. â¢New vehicles in dealer inventory can also be identified using DBS (Sales-> Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign). ï§Refer to NPSB15-460 for additional information 3.Dealers should use NTB21-030 to service any vehicles subject to this campaign. 4.Once reprogrammed, dealers should submit the claim, using the claims coding provided, and release the vehicle.

SummaryPREVENT FRONT AXLE THREAD DAMAGE DURING NUT REMOVAL SERVICE INFORMATION If an Applied Vehicle needs to have a front axle nut removed, for any reason, the staking of the nut into the axle keyway must first be removed. The essential tool (part number # J-52982, Figure 1) required to remove the nut staking, is called out as a âCape Chiselâ in the Electronic Service Manual (ESM), and must be used to prevent thread damage to the axle (see Figure 2 on page 2). ï· The Cape Chisel arrived at dealers in December of 2020. ï· Damaged threads, due to improper removal of the stake placed in the nut, will not be covered by warranty. For information on using the Cape Chisel, refer to the Electronic Service Manual (ESM): Section TRANSMISSION & DRIVELINE > FRONT AXLE > REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION > FRONT DRIVE SHAFT > LH/RH.

Due to a manufacturing concern that has since been resolved, the fuel pump lock ring installation may not be complete, the fuel pump lock ring engagement may not be fully engaged, and/or the fuel feed tube locking clip at the low pressure fuel pump may not be fully installed on the applicable vehicles. Dealers should follow the procedure to remedy any of these conditions, if identified during the inspection. Affected vehicles are subject to stop sale and are either currently in dealer inventory or assigned and in transit to the dealer. Dealers must complete the inspection and if necessary, repair, prior to sale. *****What Dealers Should Do***** PLEASE FOLLOW THE ATTACHED INSPECTION INSTRUCTIONS: 1. This bulletin contains important service procedures that must be performed properly in order to set up and maintain the telematics/in-vehicle communications (IVC) system for the vehicles listed under APPLIED VEHICLES. ï· A table has been provided, on the next page, that lists the steps required to successfully configure a TCU after it has been replaced. ï· A check-off sheet has been provided in this bulletin to print and check off steps as they are completed.
