SummarySome customers may experience the CHECK ENGINE light ON with DTC P2229:00 stored in PCM memory. ï· P2229:00 (BARO sensor circuit high input). This concern will most likely occur on vehicles that have aftermarket wax applied in the engine compartment. Aftermarket wax applied in the engine compartment may adhere on the breather hole located at the bottom of the PCM, which may collect dust and result in a plugged filter. This breather hole is actually a filter for the air pressure sensor in the PCM. When the PCM gets hot, the internal air pressure may rise due to the plugged filter and result in DTC P2229:00. To eliminate this concern, the shape of the PCM bracket has been modified to not cover the breather hole and eliminate a gap between it and the PCM that may promote the residual liquid wax.

SummarySome customers may complain of a shift shock felt when shifting into 3rd, 5th and/or R range with no A/T related DTC stored. The symptom can be temporarily repaired by A/T initial learning procedure, but may recur after multiple driving cycles. Applicable situations: ï· Shifting up: 2-3, (4-5) ï· Shifting down: 4-3, (6-5) NOTE:(4-5) and (6-5) are felt more than others due to the gear ratio. ï· Shifting into R: D-R, N-R, P-R. Improper control logic of the TCM may cause improper learning of R-3-5 brake engaging speed during certain driving situations. To correct this concern, the control logic of the TCM has been modified.

SummaryA valve tapping or knocking noise may be heard from the top end after the engine cools down (the vehicle is parked overnight) or after it has been idling for an extended time. The tapping noise will decreases as the vehicle is being driven or if the rpm is held above 2500 -3000 RPM. This may be caused by the valve Hydraulic Lifters (HLA) bleeding down as the engine cools or when the engine has been idling for an extended period of time, creating excessive valve lash clearance.

SummaryThe ownerâÂÂs manual contains procedures and precautions for the maintenance and cleaning of plastic parts, like the brand emblem. However, it is still important to remind customers about these precautions. Customers should never use inadequate, harsh or aggressive cleaning products on plastic parts. CAUTION: Be aware that when cleaning the brand emblem, never use cleaning products that are highly acidic/alkaline detergent, organic solvents or those with aggressive chemical products, otherwise, the brand emblem may become cracked and/or deformed (as shown in the example below). Always refer customers to the ownerâÂÂs manual for proper cleaning using cold or lukewarm water and a mild, neutral detergent.
