SummarySome 2019 Edge/Nautilus vehicles equipped with 2.0L EcoBoost engines may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P2282 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This concern may be due to an intermittent stuck open brake vacuum on demand valve causing an uncommanded high air flow intake manifold leak. Inspect the vacuum on demand valve (K2GC-2420-AD/K2GZ-2420-A). The Powertrain Controls and Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) Manual Pinpoint Test HG and Workshop Manual are being updated to include a diagnostic routine for the vacuum on demand valve and a procedure to remove and install the vacuum on demand valve. Engineering is investigating, monitor OASIS for updates.

SummarySome 2016-2019 Explorer, 2016-2018 MKX, 2019 Edge/Nautilus, 2017-2019 Fusion/MKZ, and 2018-2019 F-150/Mustang/Expedition/Navigator vehicles equipped with climate controlled seats may exhibit a buzzing noise from the front seats, front seats too warm, and/or inoperative climate controlled front seats. DTCs B14BA:13, B1154:4B, and/or B14B9:13 may also be present. This may be due to loose terminal pin fit on the driver seat module (DSM) connector C341D (16 pin). If a loose terminal pin fit condition is found during normal diagnostics per Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-10, a new service pigtail connector (part number 3U2Z-14S411-BRAB) is available. Refer to Wiring Diagram, Cell 119 to make sure C341D is a 16 pin connector and not a 20 pin connector. Refer to Wiring Diagram, Cell 5 for the recommended splicing procedures.

SummarySome 2019 Mustang, Continental, Fusion, MKZ, F150, Edge or Nautilus with SYNC 3 may have a symptom of a rear view camera that remain on the screen when moving forward above 5MPH or a solid blue screen once the vehicle is at cruising speed. Some vehicles may experience inoperative infotainment applications such as Apple CarPlay. To eliminate these symptoms from occurring, it is recommended to disable the Wi-Fi in the settings menu by selecting Automatic updates. Shut off system WIFI and then disable automatic updates. If the vehicle is stuck in the rear camera state you can exit this state by shutting the vehicle off and powering the system down for at least three minutes. Engineering is investigating, monitor OASIS for updates.

SummarySome 2019 Nautilus vehicles may encounter an issue during the EPDI process where the vehicle does not communicate properly or the EPDI tool will not accept the tire placard specification of 33 psi for 245/60R18 tire size equipped units. If the vehicle fails to communicate during EPDI, technicians should disable transport mode by depressing the brake pedal 5 times and then turning the hazards on/off twice within 10 seconds of turning the key on. Proceed with the inspection and manually enter the results into the online tool. The concern of not being able to communicate with the EPDI tool is not indicative of a vehicle issue. Submission of the inspection results using the online tool is required for claims payment of PDI allowance. Engineering is investigating, monitor OASIS for updates.
