- #11757015August 14, 2026EXTERIOR LIGHTING, ENGINE, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
The contact owns a 2021 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the vehicle stalled and then failed to return to normal operation. The failure reoccurred on several occasions. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed; however, the cause of the failure was not found. The messages "SOS System Inoperative" and "Battery Charging Failure" were displayed on the instrument panel, and the stability control became inoperative. The dealer stated that an engine temperature indication defect was detected, the battery lost power, exterior lights became inoperative, the vehicle indicated that the doors were open while the doors were closed, and that there were significant communication failures with the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact researched and became aware of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V248000 (Electrical System); however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.

The center console infotainment display screen fails to boot on vehicle start-up, remaining entirely blank/black. Because the screen stays black, critical vehicle interfaces—including the mandatory rear-view backup camera system—are fully non-functional, creating a compliance and safety concern. This specific failure mode—a clock-synchronization mismatch causing a blank display at startup and loss of the backup camera—is identical to the defect addressed under Land Rover Safety Recall N972 (NHTSA Campaign #25V016000)

I received a letter in August 2025 informing me about the passenger airbag recall for 2020-2025MY Land Rover Range Rover Evoque that said parts and remedy are not yet available. I received a second letter in February 2026 that said parts and remedy are available and advising I schedule a service appointment with Land Rover Range Rover dealer. I've called three Land Rover Range Rover dealerships in the DC-MD-VA area, and each one has told me "the parts are not available and are on backorder, and we don't know when they will be available" with no additional information about how I can get the parts/service when they are available. IF I'M DRIVING MYSELF AND MY FAMILY IN AN UNSAFE VEHICLE AND SOMEONE IS HURT OR DIES, WHO WILL BE HELD LIABLE? I WOULD JUST LIKE TO HAVE MY VEHICLE REPAIRED TO SAFE STANDARDS. THANK YOU.

I am filing this complaint regarding serious and ongoing safety and quality issues with my 2025 Range Rover Evoque S. Since shortly after taking delivery, I have experienced persistent problems that have not been resolved despite multiple service visits over the past year. As a result, I have lost confidence in the safety and reliability of this vehicle. The issues include an overheating wireless charging pad that becomes unsafe to use. This issue has been acknowledged by the dealership as a known problem. During an early service visit, a representative advised me to purchase a third party wireless charger rather than offering a repair. The vehicle also has persistent interior rattling from the rear passenger side that continues despite repeated repair attempts. During my most recent service visit, I was told that the vehicle is built plastic on plastic and that this noise should be expected. Most concerning is an active passenger airbag recall issued Aug. 27, 2025. Due to a cyber incident affecting Land Rover systems, there is currently no remedy available. Because of this unresolved recall, I do not allow passengers in the vehicle, as I do not believe it is safe. This restriction has been in place for months and has significantly limited my ability to use the vehicle. I only drive when absolutely necessary. Because the dealership was unable to resolve these issues, a retailer representative who has been aware of the problems from the beginning recommended that I pursue a vehicle repurchase through Land Rover. I followed that recommendation and formally requested a repurchase. Land Rover denied the request without explanation and referred me to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to file a complaint. I remain in possession of the vehicle but no longer feel safe or confident driving it. I am submitting this complaint so these safety issues are formally documented and reviewed. My vehicle is subject to an active AIRBAG SAFETY RECALL. The recall has been open for 112 days. The authorized Land Rover dealer has confirmed that the manufacturer does not have repair parts available and no repair completion date has been provided. Although the vehicle is technically drivable, it is unsafe due to the airbag defect. The airbag system may fail to deploy properly in a crash, increasing the risk of serious injury or death. The manufacturer has failed to remedy this safety defect within a reasonable time. I am concerned for my safety and the safety of others.

Recall N945 safety passenger air bag may tear I was notified July 2025. By December 2025 no solution has been provided. I called the dealership Land Rover Marin and they refused to repair saying I should not too worry and that this is not a safety issue. I find this false since the airbags are a primary safety issue and Im driving a car that cant guarantee the safety of the side passenger.

I received notice of safety recall N945 for the 2021–2025 Range Rover Evoque concerning a defect in the passenger airbag that could tear during deployment due to improper folding during assembly. This condition poses a serious safety risk because a torn airbag could fail to protect the occupant or release hot gases that could cause burns. Since the recall was issued several months ago, I have repeatedly contacted my authorized Land Rover dealership to schedule the repair. The dealership stated that they are unable to perform the recall because their internal system was “hacked” and they cannot access recall information or confirm when parts will be available. The manufacturer’s website still lists the recall as “incomplete – remedy not yet available.” It has now been over three months since I was notified of the recall, yet no remedy or scheduling information has been provided. This delay prevents me from having a critical safety repair completed and leaves my vehicle in an unsafe condition for any front passenger. I am filing this complaint because the manufacturer and dealership have not provided a remedy within a reasonable time frame, and I believe this represents a failure to complete a federally mandated safety recall in a timely manner

It has already been 2 months, after the recall of the Range Rover Evoque 2024 for a faulty airbag. I went right away to the dealership located on 16750 SOUTH DIXIE HIGHWAY MIAMI FL 33157, and I spoke to the service manager named Henry. I asked for a loaner since it is very dangerous to drive this car with this faulty airbag, and he told me at the moment they cannot offer any loaner since it is not dangerous for the passengers if this airbag deployed at the time of an accident. He told me Range Rover will call me back when you guys get the new airbags. I called after 2 months and still no airbag solution for my car. I'm very concerned about my safety and passenger safety as well. and more since the problem is with the passenger front seat. i called as well to the RANGE ROVER headquarters and thy didn't offer any solution as well, and as a matter of fact they still have not any airbags to resolve the issue. I'm requesting a loaner or a rent vehicle while they fix the issue

. I leased the vehicle from the Suburban of Troy (Jaguar Troy-Land Rover Troy) at 1815 Maplelawn Troy, MI 48084 through Ally Financial on 6/30/22. On 7/29/22 and 8/15/22, I brought the vehicle into the Suburban Collection’s Service Center. I stated that when I remote started the vehicle from the app, I would start driving and a “Gearbox Fault” message would turn on for a day or so and would shut off. I provided the Service Advisor with my login credentials to troubleshoot the concern with my vehicle. Unfortunately, no resolution was made with regards to my vehicle and it was returned to me. This continued to occur. On 1/9/23 (with just over 6,500 miles), I again brought my vehicle into the service center. I started my vehicle using the mobile app while the auto start/stop function was enabled and drove the vehicle for a number of miles and upon entering a roundabout, the vehicle shifted itself into neutral during rush hour traffic. I could not switch out of neutral and had to restart the vehicle in the middle of rush hour and I could have been rear ended. This situation was horrifying. I reached out to four individuals via JLR corporate emails on 3/7/23, as I had not received any information from my service advisor regarding my vehicle. During that time, I was driving a loaner vehicle that did not have the same features and I was unable to start the vehicle remotely during that time. I received correspondence from an Executive Liaison, Jean Meyer on 3/8/23 after receiving my vehicle the day prior. It had been in the dealership’s possession at that time for 66 days and in total, my vehicle had been in their possession for 78 days. During that time, I was informed that the Service Advisor that I had worked with was eliminated because of his handling of my case. I was told that the Shop Foreman was working on my vehicle and that it had been escalated to an engineer that manufactures the transmission, but no one was able to find a resolution for my car switching into n
