When I drive my 2022 Hyundai venue, when I put it in reverse and the camera comes on, it works fine but when I go back to drive after backing out of my parking space, the camera is still visible from behind and the only way it goe off the screen is if I put the car in park and then put it back in drive. This has been happening for a month.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer and a second dealer, Green Hyundai (601 W Stanford Ave, Springfield, IL 62704), who replaced the horn six times; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the horn was covered under warranty. The contact stated that the vehicle was denied the lemon law claim. The failure mileage was unknown.

Bumper is made of very thin plastic and cracked upon a light inpack with protruding snow/ice pile while pulling into driveway. Other cars would have a small dent. Bumper does not give enough protection for real accident. Cost was $1800. Safety concern.

The soy-based coating on the harness surrounding critical wiring attracts squirrels who are keen to the scent resulting in wiring critical to the operation of the vehicle being chewed and malfunctioning. Not only is this repair expensive, but since one doesn't know it has happened, it is extremely dangerous when messing with critical components that affect the safe operation of the vehicle. Insurance has determined they will pay for the repair, but nothing is done to recoup the $500 deductible I had to pay, and the inconvenience of not having my vehicle for a long period of time. The replacement part is the same which means that this could happen repeatedly. . Hyundai refuses to compensate owners.

Upon purchasing the vehicle I noticed the windows do not go down and up properly but rather get stuck in both the down and up position. I consider this a hazard because I'm the event of an accident if the website is the only way out it does not operate and also when driving the ability to wind up your windows keeps you safe from dangerous persons who may be inclined to reach through the window to attack those in their cars

After purchase, I discovered that the vehicle was sold without a functioning horn, which is federally required safety equipment. I immediately contacted the dealership and Subaru of America to have the defect repaired under the manufacturer’s warranty. Despite repeated requests, Subaru and the dealership refused to repair the defect, which left the vehicle unsafe to operate. A horn is essential for warning other drivers and pedestrians and for safe operation of the vehicle. Selling a vehicle without a functional horn constitutes a serious safety violation. I have documentation supporting my claim, including the warranty agreement, proof of defect, and correspondence showing Subaru’s refusal to repair the horn. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this matter to ensure compliance with federal safety requirements and to prevent potential safety risks to other consumers.

I am writing to respectfully request that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) consider adopting a Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard requiring vehicles to provide a clear driver alert when headlights and tail lamps are not illuminated in low-light conditions. Although many vehicles offer automatic headlights, these systems can be disabled without the driver’s knowledge when the physical headlight switch is moved from “AUTO” to “OFF.” This may occur during routine servicing, inspections, car washes, or detailing, and the vehicle provides no notification that the automatic lighting has been disabled. As a result, even conscientious drivers can unknowingly operate a vehicle without proper illumination at night. A recent incident involving my daughter illustrates this concern. She always keeps her headlights set to “AUTO,” and she is aware of the importance of nighttime visibility. However, after a state vehicle inspection, the inspector had manually turned her headlights to the OFF position. She later drove at night with the expectation that her automatic lighting system was functioning and subsequently received a warning ticket from law enforcement for not having her headlights on. The vehicle provided no warning whatsoever that the headlights and tail lamps were not active. Additionally, modern dashboard lighting systems automatically illuminate when ambient lighting decreases and may dim in the evening, which strongly implies to the driver that the vehicle’s exterior lighting is active. At the same time, daytime running lights illuminate the front of the vehicle, while rear lights remain off. From the driver’s perspective, the road ahead appears lit, and the interior displays reinforce the assumption that lighting is fully engaged. This creates a false sense of proper lighting and is misleading from a human-factors standpoint.

My car has been having electrical problems. First, airbag sensor caused every yellow warning light to go on. Now my infotainment center with maps either goes black or too dark to see all the time. Hyundai has an update for this infotainment center but they cannot update it. It will not update. I am driving relying on maps and all of the sudden it cannot be seen. Very dangerous. I had this happen on the turnpike getting off at an exit and had no idea where to go. There is a Hyundai USA complaint number XXX which has many pages of documents including repair and videos and photos of the problem. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

My vehicle is experiencing engine challenges. My check engine light has been on for more that half of this year. I took my car to get a diagnostic , and it was returned reported as normal however the check engine light re-appeared. My car make a noise and does not accelerate properly. My driver door is missing a handle, there was never a handle, the screws to show a handle was placed originally, and one of my seat belts is not attached properly causing my back seats which can go down engage in frequent friction in order to realize seats down. My car is well under 100,000, and it would be completely unfair for me to stay in this faulty contract.
