I own a 2026 Hyundai Palisade Hybrid Calligraphy. A recent over-the-air software update removed the ability to control rear seats through the infotainment system, which was a key feature at the time of purchase. This change was made without meaningful notice or consent and significantly alters how the vehicle is used. In some situations, it now requires physically reaching or repositioning to operate seats, which may create new safety or usability concerns when managing passengers or cargo. I relied on this feature while managing kids in the car. I was accustomed to this feature and it was a large reason we purchased the car. It was not “convenience” but a function that allowed us to manage our kids saftey I am submitting this complaint because a major vehicle function was removed after purchase, and I believe post-sale software changes that reduce functionality should be reviewed.

Hello, I would like to report the rental company that rented us the car with 2 open recalls. The name of the company is NU car rental locating at 2900 SE 6th Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316. It rented us a Hyundai Palisade with the plate number [XXX] from April 5 to April 10th, 2026. They knew that we needed a car for 6 people and that the 3rd row was going to be used. And the 2nd recall relates to the use of 3 row seats. Please see the rental agreement as a proof. I know the same company in Orlando was under federal investigation for the same issue. To my knowledge, rental companies are prohibited from renting cars with open recalls by the federal law. Please investigate this company. While loading the rear of the vehicle at the end of a camp trip, my child was seated in the second row seat. When I was loading equipment into the trunk, some of the equipment bumped the button that activates folding the seat in the second row. The seat sensor did not identify my child was in the seat, and it began to close on my child. My child was able to open the door and escape the seat before he was crushed. There is a known recall for this hazard.

About 1 year ago, my child was in a forward-facing car seat in the third row. The power seat button was activated, and the seat started to fold down with my child in a car seat. It did not stop. I was panicked but luckily was able to act quickly and get the seat to stop without him being seriously injured. This was reported to Hyundai at the time and Hyundai disregarded my claim. I am now seeing a recall for this functionality in the 2026 Palisade. This is a problem dating back to the 2021 Palisade as I experienced it over a year ago.

The current no. 226 EJECTION MITIGATION RECALL has me scared to drive the vehicle for it's intended use as a Family car transporting 7 people which are all children. The fix from the manufacturer/dealership is taking to long. We are lucky we have not been in an accident. I believed my Family was safe in this vehicle but now know we are not. What a waste of money I have borrowed for this car. Paying on something that is not safe and how I risked my grandbabys possibly being ejected from my vehicle if there was to be an accident.

Instrument cluster has stopped working. Issue has been confirmed with Matt Bowers Hyundai in Gulfport, MS. Similar to the TSB 22-01-058H. Instrument cluster fails to display RPMs, Temperature, Speed, and Fuel level. Auto Bright headlights fail, seatbelt warning lights fail. Cruise control becomes inactive. Also have noticed this to cause parking sensors to become inaccurate.

2024 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy. Single loud popping noise from right rear area occurring approximately 10–20 seconds after coming to a complete stop. Noise is consistent and repeatable during normal everyday driving. Suspected cause is brake caliper, rotor thermal expansion, sway bar end link, or rear suspension bushing releasing load after vehicle settles. Dealer appointment scheduled for May 4, 2025. Issue is ongoing.

2024 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy. Clicking/knocking noise from left rear shock absorber area. Noise occurs when accelerating from a stop as the rear of the vehicle compresses under load, and can be reproduced by pushing the rear of the vehicle up and down. Consistent with known self-leveling rear shock absorber failure documented in TSB 22-22-001H, which has been reported across multiple Palisade model years. Dealer appointment scheduled for May 4, 2025. Issue is ongoing.

Here’s a more professional, structured version of your complaint while still clearly conveying the seriousness of the situation: ⸻ I am writing to formally express my concern regarding a 2020 Hyundai Palisade that I purchased from a dealership less than one year ago, along with an extended warranty. Since the time of purchase, the vehicle has experienced ongoing and significant oil consumption issues. In fact, it has spent a substantial amount of time in the repair shop—arguably more time than it has been in my possession. Despite these repeated service visits, the problem has not been resolved. The vehicle is currently consuming more than 1.5 quarts of oil per 1,000 miles, which is well beyond what would be considered normal. I have completed an official oil consumption test to document this issue. Notably, these problems began prior to even the first oil change after purchase, indicating that the condition likely existed at the time of sale. Despite the documented issue, both Hyundai Motor Company and the extended warranty provider have denied coverage for repairs. As a result, I am left with a vehicle that has a serious mechanical defect and a high risk of engine failure. I invested approximately $29,000 in this vehicle, and I am now facing the prospect of catastrophic engine damage due to a known issue that has been widely reported with similar vehicles. This situation is extremely concerning and has left me feeling misled and unfairly treated. I am seeking a fair resolution to this matter, including appropriate repair, replacement, or compensation, given the circumstances and the documentation supporting this claim.

The vehicle suffered a structural "seam leak" on the pressurized oil filter housing. This was verified by an authorized Hyundai dealer (Dealer XXX, Invoice #XXX). The failure is a structural crack in the housing component itself, not a maintenance-related seal or filter failure. This defect causes pressurized engine oil to spray directly onto the hot engine block while the vehicle is in operation, creating a severe and immediate fire hazard. Additionally, the rapid loss of oil and oil pressure poses a risk of sudden engine seizure or stalling at highway speeds, which could lead to a crash. Despite being a known manufacturing defect in a critical engine component, the manufacturer has refused to address the safety implications or offer a remedy.
