My 2019 Honda Passport (VIN [XXX]) has a failure of the front windshield-mounted multipurpose camera that runs the Honda Sensing driver-assistance system. Diagnostic codes U3000 (multipurpose camera internal failure) and U0416 (vehicle stability/VSA data fault) are present, with multiple driver-assistance warning lights illuminated. As a result, safety features including collision-mitigation braking, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and road-departure mitigation are disabled. This is the same front-camera / Honda Sensing defect that is the subject of 2026 class-action litigation involving other Honda models that use the same camera. Honda has not issued a recall for the front sensor camera, and owners report paying roughly $2,000–$3,000 for replacement, programming, and calibration. No crash has occurred, but losing these safety systems is a safety concern INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

My 2019 Honda Passport (VIN [XXX]) has an intermittent, dangerous failure of the Auto Idle Stop (auto start/stop) system: when the engine shuts off at a complete stop and I release the brake, it fails to restart on its own, leaving the vehicle dead and immobile in live traffic. There is no warning light before it happens. This has stranded me at intersections and in traffic, creating a serious risk of being struck from behind. The condition matches NHTSA's open Engineering Analysis EA25004 and the defect at issue in the In re Honda Idle Stop Litigation settlement, both concerning 2019 Passport and related vehicles failing to restart after Auto Idle Stop engages. The vehicle has not received the A53 starter replacement. I am bringing it to an authorized Honda dealer, which is requiring a paid diagnostic to "verify" the defect before performing the covered software update and warranty-extension repair. No crash or injury has occurred yet, but the failure is ongoing and I consider it an active safety hazard. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The contact owns a 2019 Honda Passport. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer to be repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V365000 (Structure, Suspension). After retrieving the vehicle, while driving 60 MPH, there was an abnormal sound coming from the vehicle. While depressing the brake pedal the contact heard a sliding sound coming from the rear end of the vehicle. The dealer stated that the sound might be coming from the heat shield. The mechanic stated that the vehicle was unsafe to drive as is and the vehicle was repaired. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer and the dealer confirmed that the part was properly tightened and the vehicle was safe to drive. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 91,169.
