Ticking noise coming from engine slight metallic noise as well. RPMs drop and when they drop, you can feel power loss constant hunting in the RPMs. Also a weird vibration, not all the time in the front end somewhere.

On 29 November 2025 at approximately 1700hrs, I was driving my Blue 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4X outside of Pampa, TX. As I was driving to my hunting location, my truck turned itself off and placed itself in neutral. I was driving about 30 mph down a single farm road with another vehicle approaching me from the front. I was unable to pull to the side due to farmland. I was able to flash my lights to get the other vehicle to slow down before having an incident. During this time, I had to let the truck slow down to a stop. My vehicle was already inspected for the engine recall and I was informed I had nothing to worry about. That everything was good. The truck is at Greg Lair in Canyon, TX. It did put me and my passenger as risk. I did not receive any warning before my truck turned off. The dealer confirmed today that the engine had seized. The engine was inspected during the summer before this issue. I had not warning when this happened. Was just driving and lost power. Looked down at the display and it stated to restart engine. I noticed my truck was in neutral when it came to a stop.

“I own a 2025 GMC Sierra with 30,000 miles. The oil cooler failed and caused loss of oil pressure and potential internal engine damage. The dealership acknowledges the failure but refuses to escalate the case or perform a proper inspection. I am being instructed to continue driving the truck even though it may suffer catastrophic failure while driving. This is a safety hazard.”

The recall you are showing was completed 300 miles ago. There were no outstanding recalls on my vehicle on November 23, 2025. On this day I was driving home, at night and I heard a loud flapping sound coming from the front of my vehicle. I pulled over and checked the front and wheel wells, nothing was stuck. I got back in and started driving the flapping sound was coming as I pressed the gas, when coasting with no gas, there was no flapping sound. I managed to make it home and GM towed my truck the next day. The shop has informed me that the engine is gone. Even though I did the recall 300 miles ago, it was directly what they were looking for in the recall and did not find it. This clearly put me in danger.

I purchased a 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali (VIN: [XXX] ) from J.C. Lewis Ford in Pooler, Georgia. The dealership did not disclose an active federal safety recall (NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V-xxx / GM XXX) related to engine connecting rod and crankshaft defects that can result in sudden engine failure and loss of propulsion. The Blue Certified delivery document they had me sign includes a section requiring disclosure of any open recalls, but they left the recall section blank and checked that all recalls were explained to me. No disclosure of any recall occurred during the sale. The vehicle developed engine problems within days and is currently in GMC service. The nondisclosure put me at risk of driving a vehicle with a known safety defect. I am reporting this as a dealer nondisclosure of a federal safety recall. The rear defroster massively overheated. It started heavily smoking and eventually exploded the rear windows. Only warning sign was the smoke which we noticed quickly because the windows were up. Had the windows been down we might not have noticed before a fire started. I'm taking it to a dealership now. This module also triggers on from a remote start. Extremely dangerous!!!

The CAM Sensor Failed and the reluctor ring was chipped. They could not determine without spending hours taking a part the engine if it was a piece of metal from the current recall that chipped off and broke the reluctor ring. No problems until immediate failure and had to had the car towed to the shop to identify issue.

Purchased vehicle in July 2025. Started having the engine failure issues described in recall "L87 Engine Loss of Propulsion (Related field action: See Special Coverage N252494003)". GM says that the recall work was completed in May of 2025, however, the same exact issue as described in the recall exists. Engine fails during vehicle operation, the vehicle will lose propulsion, increasing the risk of a crash. We believe the recall fix was not performed properly as vehicle has same issue. Dealership has not helped us and GM referred us to you.
