While traveling in high-speed traffic, the vehicle experienced a sudden and catastrophic mechanical engine failure without any prior warning lamps, messages, or symptoms. The failure manifest as a loud, rhythmic ticking and knocking noise immediately followed by a sudden loss of propulsion and severe engine shuddering. Safety Risk: The loss of power occurred in active traffic, creating an immediate crash hazard. Because the engine could no longer maintain speed, I experienced multiple near-miss collisions while attempting to navigate the vehicle to safety. This "limp mode" state placed myself and other motorists at extreme risk of a rear-end or side-impact collision. Component & Inspection: The failed component is the engine (6.2L L87 V8), specifically believed to be a failed lifter or bearing within the Dynamic Fuel Management system. The vehicle and its engine are currently available for inspection. Confirmation: The problem has been confirmed by a certified dealership service center. Diagnostic codes include P0300 (Random Misfire) and P0016. The dealership identified the symptoms as consistent with internal mechanical failure.

The grille deflector suddenly detached from the truck and flew off into traffic. It narrowly missed the vehicle behind me and could have caused a serious accident or injury. There was no prior warning or impact that would explain the failure.

Failure of frame on left side of vehicle between frame rail and fuel tank. For a approx 10 year old vehicle that is garaged and does not drive in inclement weather this SHOULD NOT be happening.

Oil cooler for truck is defective and thus allowed all oil to be mixed with the coolant. GM is stating they will flush engine and replace with exact same part. Very common issue and sad to have a $100k truck and it is junk.

The other night, I was backing into a parking spot at the market. As I slowed I noticed the brake pedal was getting harder to depress and it felt as though I was going to back into the car behind me. It took more effort to stop the truck.

We were driving down a farm to market road at about 50 mph pulling an empty cattle trailer when we had a severe power loss, lots of dash lights and warnings. I noticed white smoke coming from the tail pipe. We limped it back to the house and unhooked the trailer and idled it into the Chevrolet dealership in Portland TX. The dealership just called and they said the #5 cylinder failed, there is metal in the oil and it will need an engine replacement at a cost of over $11,000.00. The truck is a 2019 and has just over 54,000 miles on it. No engine should fail at 54,000 miles and no company should sell one that does. Pulling a loaded trailer at highway speeds with a total engine failure could easily cause death to passengers and livestock. 12122025

- #11706394December 21, 2025ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, SERVICE BRAKES, STEERING
1.)When driving the vehicle it will randomly shutoff while driving with loss of brakes and steering until it will randomly turn back on.The vehicle experiences intermittent electronic and drivability malfunctions. The issue appears to involve one or more vehicle control modules and/or electronic systems. At times, warning lights and system messages appear, and vehicle performance is affected. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. 2.)These failures create a serious safety risk because they occur without warning while driving. The vehicle may lose normal functionality, display multiple warnings, or behave unpredictably. If this occurs in traffic, at speed, or while maneuvering, it could increase the risk of a crash or leave the vehicle stranded in an unsafe location. Furthermore on 3 separate circumstances I came close to crashing the vehicle putting at risk lives in the vehicle and outside. 3.)The problem is intermittent and has been difficult to reproduce on demand. I have taken the truck to the dealership multiple times. The dealership has stated that because the issue is not actively occurring when they have the vehicle, they have been unable to duplicate the concern and have instructed me to continue driving it until the issue happens again. Despite this, the problem continues to return during normal use. 4.)The vehicle has been inspected by the authorized dealership on multiple occasions. To my knowledge, it has not been inspected directly by the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives. 5.)Intermittent warning lights and system messages appear, including at times a check engine light and other alerts. These warnings may appear suddenly as the truck shuts off and then disappear after the vehicle is turned off and restarted. Another thing to point out is that the audio and turn signal chime cut off randomly. The issue first began while the vehicle was already in normal use and has continued to reoccur since.

- #11706292December 20, 2025ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
The main tailgate will not go down or function properly and it says online there is a national recall for this, but does not come up when I search my vehicle. When I turn on my left turn signal the brights flash for no reason and this is a known major issue with the vehicles as well. The trucks computer is telling me low on coolant even though it is not that has already been fixed through a 3rd pARTY WARRANTY Parking brake was stuck on when I bought the vehicle and had been for a long time you could tell and I had to pay over $1100 to fix it at GM. The Ford collision system does not work properly and the cameras will come on at certain times when they're not supposed to be and not come on when they are supposed to be

The power steering on the truck would quit working at times. I made an appointment with a local dealership to have it checked out. I was told the steering rack was binding and would need to be replaced. I was also told there was a two to four week backorder on the parts. As I am trying to back out of my garage to take it to the dealer the steering totally locked up. I called a wrecker to take the truck to the dealer the next day. When the wrecker operator started to load the truck, at first the steering wheel wouldn't turn . Then it broke lose and worked fine. Imagine if I were driving when this on again off again power steering would quit working!! I should also say this truck only has fifty-seven thousand miles on it. Since there is a backorder on these parts it tells me that I'm not the only one that is having this problem. In my opinion this is a very dangerous safety problem and should be a national recall. Thank you

- #11706196December 19, 2025ENGINE, ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING
The contact owns a 2020 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated that while driving approximately 35 MPH, the vehicle lost automotive power with the check engine warning light illuminated and the message "Vehicle Might Lose Power" displayed. The vehicle remained at the residence, and the contact used a self-diagnostic tool to retrieve a fault code related to the coolant valve D. The contact determined that the coolant valve D needed to be replaced. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic; however, the contact was unaware of the part that needed to be fixed in the vehicle. The vehicle was repaired. The contact researched and was made aware of an unknown NHTSA Campaign Number; however, the VIN was not under recall. The manufacturer was contacted and confirmed that the VIN was not under recall. - #11705772December 18, 2025SERVICE BRAKES, ENGINE, EXTERIOR LIGHTING
I am writing to express my significant concerns regarding the recurring issues with my 2024 Denali 6.2, which has been subject to multiple service visits since reaching 7,000 miles. Despite these visits, the underlying problem remains undiagnosed and reoccurs shortly after I retrieve the vehicle. Following the second oil change, the engine developed a persistent ticking noise. Over the past 13 month, I have invested over $200,000 with your dealership in the past 5 years!. My truck was recently held for two weeks for service. After I lodged a complaint, the General Manager suggested I seek service elsewhere. This recommendation was made after I responded to an email stating that, following the completion of repairs to the headliner, third brake light, and brakes/rotors, I would no longer be utilizing Crain's services. The headliner sustained water damage due to improper installation by your technician, and fingerprints were also evident. I firmly believe in transparent communication regarding service progress, which was notably absent in this instance. Both the General Manager and Service Manager deferred responsibility, instructing me to contact GM directly, only for GM to inform me that direct contact was inappropriate. This resulted in a continuous cycle of unaddressed concerns with the service manager. Currently, I am operating an $80,000 vehicle that has incurred damage from a technician and exhibits a ticking engine. Furthermore, the driver's side mirror, which was previously replaced due to shaking at highway speeds, is now exhibiting the same issue, despite a technician's assertion that this is normal. I also note that my brakes, with over 89% remaining, are beginning to squeak, which your team claims is normal. This assessment is difficult to accept.
