  Some 2017-2022 Ford/Lincoln customers may experience a notification in the FordPass®/LincolnWay® app indicating Vehicle Has Entered Deep Sleep Mode. This occurs when the vehicle has not been started for 14 consecutive days, battery voltage is at/below 9.5 volts or the body control module (BCM) 12 volt battery state of charge (SOC) drops below 50%. A warning may also set if the telematic control unit (TCU) has received an over the air update. The TCU powers down all communication when in this mode and app features are disabled. Manually start the vehicle to wake if from mode. More information is located in the app under: Account > Help > search 'Deep Sleep' in the entry box. If the condition remains, check the BCM 12v SOC. If the SOC does not change after charging the battery or after BMS reset is performed, continue with normal battery and/or BMS sensor diagnostics.

  Some 2021-2022 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 3.5L PowerBoost engine may exhibit an illuminated powertrain malfunction (wrench) indicator with DTC P2C44:00 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to an issue with ground circuit GD132 or the auxiliary battery isolator. Perform Pinpoint Test I in Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-06D and make sure the integrity of GD132 is carefully inspected and tested with the inclusion of G102, C146 and C1989C. Then perform the Auxiliary Battery Conditions(s) Test in WSM, Section 414-01, Pinpoint Test B. If no issues are found in Pinpoint Test I, GD132 and the auxiliary battery condition test passes, replace the auxiliary battery isolator per WSM, Section 414-01. For claiming, use causal part 14526 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.

  This article supersedes TSB 21-2253 to update the vehicle lines affected. Some 2021 F-150 (non-Raptor/non-Tremor) vehicles with rear gross axle weight rating (GAWR) of 1542 kg (3,400 lb) or 1724 kg (3,800 lb) shown on the vehicle certification (VC) label may experience a pop/clunk/snap noise from the rear of vehicle when driving up/down an incline at an angle (frame twist). This approach angle would be similar to entering or leaving a driveway. This may be due to movement between the rear spring and the rear spring mounting plate on the rear axle. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to apply lubrication between the rear spring and the rear spring mounting plate mating surfaces on the rear axle.

  2020-2022 Explorer/Aviator and 2021-2022 F-150 hybrid vehicles equipped with a 10R80 MHT require the Transmission Strategy Download application in the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) to be run after certain transmission or module repairs. The Transmission Strategy Download routine is failing in FDRS levels 32.5.3 and 32.5.4. The FDRS development team is working to resolve this in a future release of FDRS. In the meantime, uninstall FDRS from the computer using the select all function to remove all data and recordings. Reinstall the older FDRS version 31.6.5 using this url - http://www.fordservicecontent.com/Ford_Content/IDS/FDRS/FDRS_31.6.5.exe Once 31.6.5 is installed, download and run the Transmission Strategy Download application.

This may be due to a change to the power tailgate release strategy after the body control module (BCM) has received a software update or the BCM has been replaced. When using the power tailgate release switch in the instrument panel, release switch on the tailgate, or the remote keyless entry (RKE) fob, the power tailgate release switch must be pressed 2 times (2x) within 3 seconds with the transmission in Park for the tailgate to release. If the power tailgate release is still inoperative, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-14 for normal diagnostics.

Some 2021 Mach-E/F-150 vehicles may experience at least one of the following symptoms: audio settings resetting after a key cycle, Android Auto connection concerns, Sirius presets missing more than three pages after a key cycle, touchscreen freezing/locking up, Pro-Power Onboard messaging confusion after a tripped circuit breaker (F-150 only), Wi-Fi keyboard defaulting to UK English, windows media audio (WMA) files not playing properly from a universal serial bus (USB) device, intermittent blank touchscreen, Apple CarPlay connection concerns, Bluetooth® connectivity concerns, Sirius XM loading concerns and/or unable to change Sirius XM channels. This may be due to the software in the accessory protocol interface module (APIM). To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the APIM. The APIM software update that addresses the symptom listed in this article may have been sent via Ford Power-Up software updates delivered over-the-air (OTA) to connected vehicles that have automatic updates enabled
