INSPECT LOW VOLTAGE INTERLOCK CIRCUITS, CYB03 AND CYB04 FOR AN INTERMITTENT SHORT TO GROUND. INSPECT THE CIRCUITS FOR WIRE CHAFING ON THE 10B689 HARNESS NEAR C4002 BETWEEN THE TRACTION BATTERY COVER PLATE AND THE TRACTION BATTERY, REMOVE THE AFFECTED CIRCUIT FROM THE CONNECTOR, APPLY HEAT SHRINK TUBING OVER THE CHAFED AREA OF THE CIRCUIT AND APPLY ANTI-ABRASION TAPE. SECURE THE 10B689 HARNESS TO PREVENT REPEAT OCCURRENCE. USE APPLICABLE LABOR OPERATIONS FROM SECTION 10 OF THE SERVICE LABOR TIME STANDARDS (SLTS) MANUAL.

Some vehicles may have a concern where the safety belt retractor webbing does not extract from the stowed position or exhibits excessive pressure on the occupant during use. This may be due to a normal condition which happens when the seatbelt retracts at a high rate of speed. The Workshop Manual, Section 501-20A General Procedures has been updated with a locked seatbelt retractor releasing procedure.

For service and parts ordering purposes, both are the same. The difference in the displayed ratio originates from rounding differences between systems which results in the discrepancy.

Summary
The Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) manual has been revised for diagnosing electronic throttle bodies (ETBs). The ETC_ACT and ETC_DSD PIDs should not used to diagnose possible ETB concerns. The IDS has a limited refresh rate when reading these PIDs and cannot display quickly enough to validate a concern. The PCM automatically monitors these inputs more accurately and will set diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) when appropriate. Using these PIDs for diagnostics will lead to inaccurate results and improper ETB replacements. If a concern is intermittent and no DTCs are present, refer to historical DTCs and the PC/ED, Section 3 No DTCs Present Index chart for further information.
