The vehicle's LCD screen has become delaminated which causes the control of the radio, air conditioning, navigation, and other features controlled by the "radio" portion of the car to become dysfunctional. The car will randomly beep, change air temperatures, start navigation, cause the loss of hands-free communication. This is a safety hazard as it causes the driver to be distracted in order to attend to the incessant beeping and issues related to AC/heat, navigation or radio (volume, etc.). This appears from Chrysler Forums to be an issue among a large group of Chrysler 300 Year Model 2018 owners. I am encouraging them to file a concern with your group and to ask for a recall of the car for this reason.

The contact owns a 2018 Chrysler 300. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V198000 (Air Bags) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

Touch screen is malfunctioning EVERYTHING. My climate can't be controlled-- have the heat on in the morning for example then come out from work and it's 100 degrees and i can't change it so ride home with heat blowing in 100 degree heat. Back up camera not operating sometimes, its scrolling thru the contacts and calling people randomly. Stops GPS randomly. It's very distracting and dangerous!

The touchscreen that controls everything is going nuts. Cant get the music to work anymore, air blows then heat. back vizor goes up an down. yes i'll take it wherever Its distracting It can be taken anywhere to verify this I dont know who to take it too but i can cant see the warning messages cause its off majority

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM, POWER TRAIN
THE COMPUTER ISSUE HAS BEEN ON GOING FOR A WHILE. THE COMPUTER SCREEN JUMPS AROUND ON ITS OWN CHANGES AIR AND HEAT SETTINGS, RADIO SETTINGS, BLANKS OUT ON THE REAR VIEW SITE WHILE IN USE. TRANSMISSION SKIPS ON TAKE OFF AND BUMPS WHEN CHANGING GEARS PARTICULARLY REVERSE AND PARK...... RECENTLY, LAST WEEK, THE CAR CUT OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF TURNING INTO A DRIVE WAY NO WARNING LIGHT OR SIGN OF DISTRESS. I ATTEMPTED TO START IT AND IT JUST CLICKED LIKE IT WAS OUT OF GAS BUT WASNT. THE (P) FOR PARKING KEPT BLINKING BECAUSE IT WOULD NOT GO IN PARK COMPLETELY SO IT NEVER STARTED . I HAD TO USE THE PARKING BRAKE TO PREVENT IT FROM ROLLING. I TOWED IT TO A AUTO REPAIR SHOP AND IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THERE WAS AN ELECTRICAL FAULT WITH THE FUEL TANK. SO ALMOST 1,OOO$ LATER IT WAS REPLACED AND ITS RUNNING HOWEVER THE TRANSMISSION IS NOT QUITE RIGHT. IM CONCERNED ABOUT THE FUEL PUMP ISSUE BECAUSE IT WAS SUDDEN WITH NO TYPE OF WARNING LIGHT ETC. THERES BEEN NO "PARK OUTSIDE RECALL' FOR THIS VIN# AND I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT I SHOULD TO DO TO SOMEWHAT ENSURE MY SAFETY . THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION DURING THIS DIFFICULT TIME. I HOPE TO HEAR BACK WITH A SOLUTION OR ADVICE.

The touchscreen that controls the heating, defrost, radio, and various items cycles from one screen to the next is turning on and off each selected item rapidly. For example: one minute the defrost will be on, the next the radio will appear, then the phone, next other items. As it does this, it shuts items off like the heat and defrost. I believe that to be dangerous as the windshield will fog over impairing vision and it is generally distracting my concentration from the road. I have been online and there are numerous complaint and forums about this dangerous issue that should be addressed by the manufacturer.

My 2018 Chrysler 300 u connect radio screen is delaminating getting bubbles. It’s causing it to press random buttons uncontrollably which causes the control of the radio, air conditioning, navigation, and other features controlled by the "radio" portion of the car to become dysfunctional. It’s very distracting, climate controls turn on and off on their own, it’s makes phone calls on its own. The backup camera isn’t working right, The car is available for inspection. The safety of me and others is put at risk because it’s very distracting and unsafe to drive like this. This is a safety hazard as it causes the driver to be distracted in order to attend to the incessant beeping and issues related to AC/heat, navigation or radio & It could easily cause a car accident. I have taken it to a Chrysler dealership where they told me I will have to buy a new one and it’s not covered under warranty. I personally am struggling financially and can’t afford it. I first noticed this a few months ago when the screen started getting big bubbles.

The trunk keeps opening on its own and it happens even while driving sometimes. I had the car for a year now and it has happened sporadically approximately 10 times since I bought it. I had the key fob replaced and the wiring looked at and was told there should be a recall because the electrical wiring is exposed and gets wet with rain. Corrosion sets in and the wires need replaced. I looked up other complaints and this is common for 2018 Chrysler 300. Please help. This should be recalled. Its dangerous esp when driving. I came out to my car after parking one day and my trunk was open despite the car being locked.

Our Chrysler 300 (2018) has the delamination issue reported numerous times on the Chrysler forum. Our car only has 35,000 miles on it. The delamination issue is definitely a safety issue. The radio station keeps rapidly changing making it useless. The safety part of the issue is that the heat/cool also stops working in the car and switches rapidly from one to the other. The Nav option doesn't work because the screen keeps changing. We talked to a few different repair places and they said they have seen this numerous times with the Chrysler 300. Chrysler needs to fix this.

The car will randomly beep, change air temperatures, start navigation, cause the loss of hands-free communication, dial random numbers over and over and over and I cannot stop it. The navigation is totally unreliable right now and selects random destinations, takes me into the ocean or to Africa, screen spins. This is a terrible distraction while trying to drive. This is a safety hazard as it causes the driver to be distracted in order to attend to the incessant beeping and issues related to AC/heat, navigation or radio (volume, etc.). I turn off the whole thing and unplug my phone, then it miraculously turns itself back on and automatically Bluetooth to my phone even though I have turned that portion of my phone off too. I currently am waiting (for 3 weeks) for the part to get the screen replaced through my dealership. It is scary to drive and unsafe. It randomly calls any number 10 times in a row and I am distracted trying to stop the call multiple times. I live in Phoenix AZ and when the A/C switches from cold to heater and turns on the seat heater I about pass out driving. It is too hot here to drive with no A/C and when the heater comes on I am trying frantically to turn off while driving. It is like the car has become possessed!!!

So my radio is delaminating. This is a major safety issue as it’s distracting for the driver. It will ghost tap in random locations causing gps not to work properly which can result in a crash. A/c gets turned on automatically and will turn the heat on full blast which could caused issues on a hot day such as heat stroke or something similar, this is also a big distraction while driving having to turn constantly turn the a/c back off, turn the radio back off, fix the gps, ect. This is a common problem on this veh as there are tons of forum posts about it. Please force Chrysler to put out a recall for this issue.
