SummaryThis campaign includes steps where control unit(s) in the vehicle will be programmed with the PIWIS Tester. The vehicle voltage must be maintained between 13.5 volts and 14.5 volts during this programming. Failure to maintain this voltage could result in damaged control unit(s). Damage caused by inadequate voltage during programming is not a warrantable defect. The technician must verify the actual vehicle voltage in the PIWIS Tester before starting the campaign and also document the actual voltage on the repair order. Please refer to Equipment Information EQ1401 for a list of suitable battery chargers/power supplies which should be used to maintain vehicle voltage. Due to a software error in the gateway control unit, the optional lightweight battery (lithium-ion battery) - if installed in the vehicle - will not charge using the Porsche Charge-o-mat Pro charger when this is used via the cigarette lighter or 12-volt plug socket in the vehicle. As a result, the lightweight battery can go flat if the vehicle is parked up for a long time. The charging function works, however, if the charger is connected directly to the vehicle battery using the optional clamp adapter.

SummaryConcerns: Fuel-level indicator Information: A customer complains that the fuel-level indicator in the instrument cluster stays at the "Fuel level full" marking even after the vehicle has been driven. As a result of the particular shape and modification of the fuel tank, the fuel level sender cannot differentiate between the normal fuel quantity of 17.2 gallons (65 liters) and the increased fuel quantity of 24 gallons (90 liters) for technical reasons.

SummaryConcerns: Control unit for all-wheel drive system Porsche Traction Management (PTM) Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. The affected vehicles were fitted with a control unit for the all-wheel drive system in which a purging routine for the hydraulic pump drive for the multiplate clutch is not activated due to an error in the control unit software. This can cause wear particles to clog up the hydraulic pump drive over the service life of the vehicle, resulting in higher power consumption for the pump drive. As a result, the all-wheel drive system will be deactivated and the warning message "No all-wheel sys. " Only rear-wh drive" Adapted driving permitted" will be displayed in the instrument cluster.
