This update is needed to improve the ECM software calibration, following the best practice about battery SOC targets and Start & Stop threshold. As consequence the Customer may not be able to start the vehicle. This software update is part of an improvement strategy to optimize the electric behavior of the vehicle. Note that some MY23 vehicles also need to update the Transmission Control Module (TCM) module, Although there are no reported issues impacting the TCM, the implementation of new ECM software requires the TCM software to be updated as well for compatibility reasons.
