  This Preliminary Information communicates to thetechnician that some customers may comment on the operation of their haptic seat during a Lane Keep Assist event. Lane Keep Assist works differently than Lane Departure Warning. The Lane Keep Assist icon is solid amber, Forward Camera Module is actively commanding a torque to Electronic Power Steering. This means that the driver should also feel some feedback from the steering wheel. No Chimes or haptic in the seat. Lane Keep Assist icon is flashing amber; Forward Camera Module is actively commanding torque to Electronic Power Steering. This will also be accompanied with Lane Departure Warning chimes and haptic in the seat feedback based on the setting chosen in the vehicle settings. This will take place when the vehicle has crossed lane marking by (40 cm) or (15.75 in).

  Musty Odor from HVAC Vents on Startup Condition/Concern Some customers may comment on a musty or mildew odor coming from the HVAC instrument panel air outlet vents on startup. The odor most likely will dissipate after 30-60 seconds of operation. The odor generally occurs after the vehicle has been parked for 2–6 hours with sun load with temperatures of 21°C (70°F) or higher. This may be caused by condensation building up on the evaporator core, which does not evaporate by itself in humid conditions. The odor may be the result of microbial growth on the evaporator core being released into the air stream by the HVAC blower motor.

  Original Equipment Batteries Part Number and ACDelco Replacement Battery Approved Warranty Part Numbers Correct battery cold cranking amperage (CCA) ratings and type are critical for proper test results when using the EL-50313. Access to the battery specification label, which contains the OEM part number and CCA rating and type, may be difficult without component removal. Refer to the table below for the original equipment ratings and part numbers used to set up a proper battery test. There has been some confusion as to the correct ACDelco battery warranty replacement. Refer to the table below for the correct battery warranty replacement.   Information for Dead Battery Condition Some customers may comment on the following conditions: • Dead battery • Dead battery after car sits a couple days Cause This condition may be caused by the OnStar® module staying awake, drawing power from the battery. Correction Note: If the vehicle is towed to the dealer with a dead battery, it is highly unlikely that a battery draw will be verified once the battery is charged. Verify that the vehicle VIN is flagged in the Global Warranty Management / Investigate History (GWM/IVH). If the VIN is flagged, do a Blue Button Press from the vehicle and request a "Re-configuration" and operational evaluation.
