Customer statement / workshop findings: Squeaking/creaking noises when steering/manoeuvring or when the suspension compresses and/or: A leak is visible at the boot of the lower ball joint (grease emerging) however the boot does not show any damage Workshop findings: Noises: The noises can be assigned to the lower ball joint on the left and/or right side (Figure 1 - item 20). Leak (grease emerging): Leak at the boot of the lower ball joint on the left and/or right side (Figure 1- item 20) is visible however the boot is undamaged. Technical background: In the event the symptom is as described, the operative should carry out the instructions within the Measure section Make sure that the production date of the new ball joint is 36/19 or later (see date code example circled in Figure 2 - Week 36 of 2019).

SummaryBentayga - Rear jack block fitting instruction Technical background: The repair instructions within this Service Campaign are different depending on the vehicle type (Hybrid or Non Hybrid) the operative MUST ensure the correct instructions within the Work section are conducted as follows: Hybrid vehicles (Section 1 within the Work section). The left hand rear jack block 4M4 802 829B (supplied with vehicle) MUST NOT be fitted during the PDI procedure. If fitted a clash condition could occur between the left hand rear jack block and left hand coolant pipe. NOTE: The coolant pipe is only applicable to Bentayga Hybrid vehicles. IMPORTANT: The right hand jack block 4M4 802 830B supplied in the kit bag MUST be fitted using (x2) fixings, the fixings were not supplied with the kit bag at the time of vehicle dispatch. Non Hybrid vehicles (Section 2 within the Work section): The left hand rear jack block 4M4 802 829B and right hand jack block 4M4 802 830B supplied with the kit bag can be fitted to Non Hybrid vehicles using (x4) N911 512 01.

Technical background Verify that the customer complaint matches the sound file within the Bentley Hub Reference TPI Transaction number 2064779/-. The noise present in the sound file is caused by defective upper inner lever bush/bushes, the noise can appear in the following possible scenario. -When the vehicle is moved with steering input over uneven surfaces (for e.g. a ramp or speed bump). If the customer complaint occurs in any of the above circumstances and the noise can be clearly assigned to the noise within the sound file Refer to the instructions within the Measure section of this TPI. VERY IMPORTANT NOTE FOR HYBRID VEHICLES: -Hybrid vehicles use a High voltage system and MUST only be worked on by suitably qualified personnel. -Please ensure all guidelines within the repair manual are strictly followed before and whilst conducting any work on vehicles with a High voltage system
