SummaryDealer Package: September 11, 2018 A watermark has been added to the Dealer Letter to indicate that ZTR expired on September 10, 2018. The High Beam and Daytime Running Light (DRL) in the Avalon operate on the same bulb. Toyota has received reports from customers that in some cases a High Beam/DRL Bulb would become inoperative earlier than expected in certain 2008 to 2010 Model Year Avalon Vehicles. It is important to note that the High Beam/DRL Bulbs are separate from the Head Lights (Low Beams). Therefore, this condition does not impact the ability to continue to use the regular (Low Beam) head lights in the event a High Beam/DRL Bulb was to become inoperative. Although the High Beam/DRL Bulbs are normally covered by Toyota?s New Vehicle Limited Warranty* for 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first, we at Toyota care about the customers overall experience with the Avalon. To further assure them that we stand behind the product, we are offering an enhancement of the warranty coverage on this vehicle for inoperative High Beam/DRL Bulbs. *Please see the Owner?s Warranty Information Booklet for details. The following vital information is provided to inform you and your staff of the program notification schedule and your degree of involvement.

Toyota vehicles are equipped with either conventional or run-flat tires. Sometimes punctures may occur as a result of contact with road debris or other hazards. If a puncture occurs, it may be possible to repair the tire and return it to service. With a conventional tire it is not possible to drive for an extended amount of time with the tire at low pressures as damage to the tire may occur. With run-flat tires, due to reinforced sidewalls, it is possible to drive for up to 100 miles at speeds less than 55 mph with little or no damage to the tire. The U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association (UTSMA) provides guidelines and recommendations for tire repair and replacement. It also provides information related to: ? Basic tire information ? Tire maintenance and safety ? Driver education, tire safety curriculum.

SummaryTSB: REVISION NOTICE November 22, 2017 Rev1: ? Applicability has been updated to include 2014 ? 2018 model year vehicles. Any previous printed versions of this bulletin should be discarded. In the event that a Toyota vehicle becomes submerged in water, many components may be physically damaged. Electrical and electronic components, including wiring harnesses, are particularly susceptible to corrosion and subsequent malfunction. Although any flooding can be damaging, salt water flooding elevates the potential for abnormal conditions and may increase risks due to its highly corrosive and conductive nature. Salt residue also continues to corrode and remain conductive even after a vehicle dries. This bulletin is intended to assist with safe handling and inspection of flood damaged vehicles and to provide basic guidance on likely needed repairs.

SummaryWarranty Policy Bulletin: Toyota has received reports where some vehicles may exhibit cracked and/or sticky/melting dashboards as a result of heat or humidity. In Mid-December, 2014, Toyota announced the reimbursement Phase of this voluntary warranty enhancement program. Since prior to that announcement, Toyota has been diligently making parts preparations for the parts replacement phase of this Program. Due to the age, volume, and breadth of the covered vehicles subject to the Program and the size and complexity of dashboard manufacturing, Toyota has launched the part replacement portion of this Program in several phases.
