  VOLUNTARY SERVICE CAMPAIGN 2018 Q60 SPORT; POWER STEERING CONTROL MODULE REPROGRAMMING This bulletin applies to vehicles equipped with RWD (Rear Wheel Drive). INTRODUCTION Infiniti is conducting this voluntary service campaign on certain specific model year 2018 Q60 Sport and 2018 Q60 Red Sport vehicles equipped with Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) to reprogram the power steering control module. This service will be performed at no charge to the customer for parts or labor. IDENTIFICATION NUMBER Infiniti has assigned identification number P8301 to this campaign. This number must appear on all communication and documentation of any nature dealing with this campaign. DEALER RESPONSIBILITY Retailers are to repair vehicles falling within range of this campaign that enter the service department. This includes vehicles purchased from private parties, vehicles presented by transient (tourists) owners, and vehicles in a Retailer?s inventory.

  REDUCED VEHICLE LOAD CAPACITY LABEL (REGULATORY REQUIREMENT) This bulletin applies to vehicles equipped with dealer installed or VPC installed accessories. SERVICE INFORMATION The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) requires that any automobile dealer that installs accessories on a vehicle prior to first retail sale must install a special label (?reduced capacity label?) on that vehicle if the total weight of all accessories on that vehicle exceeds 1.5 percent of the vehicle?s gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) or 100 pounds, whichever is less. This includes accessories that the dealer installs (dealer installed factory accessories and dealer installed aftermarket accessories), and accessories installed at the Vehicle Processing Center (VPC) prior to the vehicle being delivered to the dealer. IMPORTANT: Failure to comply with this requirement may result in penalties imposed by NHTSA. Follow the instructions in this bulletin to help meet these requirements.

  Electronic Power Steering (EPS) Retailer Inventor This bulletin applies to vehicles equipped with RWD (Rear Wheel Drive) and EPS (Electronic Power Steering). ***** Retailer Announcement *****INFINITI is updating the previously announced quality hold (PC609) from January 11, 2018 and is now instructing retailers to reprogram Electronic Power Steering (EPS) software to the most current production level on 514 specific 2018 Q60 RWD Sport and RWD Red Sport vehicles equipped with EPS. A new campaign ID (P8301) has been assigned to differentiate which vehicles have received updated software. This campaign ID will replace PC609 in Service Comm and DBS National Service History on January 20, 2018.***** What Retailers Should Do ***** PLEASE FOLLOW THE ATTACHED REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this quality action using Service Comm or DBS National Service History ? Open Campaign I.D. P8301 - New vehicles in retailer inventory can also be identified using DCS (Sales-> Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign). - Refer to IPSB 15-286 for additional information - Please continue to check newly arriving inventory for quality action applicability. 2. Please do not drive, sell, or trade the specific 2018 Q60 vehicles in retailer inventory subject to this quality action until the updated software has been installed. 3. Use the attached procedure to install the updated software. 4. The service department should submit the applicable warranty claim for the action performed so it can be closed on Service Comm and release the vehicle. ***** Retailer Responsibility ***** It is the retailer?s responsibility to check Service Comm or DBS National Service History ? Open Campaigns using the appropriate campaign I.D for the quality action status on each affected vehicle currently in new vehicle inventory. INFINITI requires retailers to perform this repair on applicable new vehicles in inventory prior to being retailed to ensure client satisfaction.

  Electronic Power Steering (EPS) Quality Assurance Hold This bulletin applies to vehicles equipped with RWD (Rear Wheel Drive) and EPS (Electronic Power Steering). ***** Retailer Announcement ***** Effective immediately, INFINITI is placing a temporary retailer inventory quality hold on 504 specific 2018 Q60 RWD Sport and RWD Red Sport vehicles equipped with EPS and identified in Service Comm. INFINITI has learned the software for the electronic power steering system may not be at the current production level. INFINITI is investigating this and anticipates having revised software available by the week of January 15, 2018. Further instructions will be sent when the software is available. ***** What Retailers Should Do ***** 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this quality hold using Service Comm I.D. SERVICE INFORMATION When replacing or adding an Intelligent Key, it is very important to make sure the correct Intelligent Key is selected from the parts department. - A running change was made that will help identify the correct Intelligent Key. - Beginning in late 2017 and early 2018 the last five digits of the Intelligent Key part number is marked on the Intelligent Key under the mechanical key. - See page 2 for location images of this part number addition. NOTE: - A correct Intelligent Key may or may not have the last five digits of the part number as shown on page 2. - The above running change was applied as a ?help? to identify the correct Intelligent Key for a given vehicle, but the actual part number listed in the parts catalog did not change. - Make sure to use the electronic parts catalog (FAST) or equivalent to confirm the correct Intelligent Key for a given vehicle.

  2016-2018 Q50 AND 2017-2018 Q60; CHARGE AIR COOLER COOLING SYSTEM SERVICE INFORMATION This bulletin applies to vehicles equipped with VR30DDTT V6 engine. SERVICE INFORMATION Whenever either or both charge air coolers (intercooler) on an applied vehicle?s VR30DDTT V6 engine is removed and reinstalled/replaced for any reason, make sure to properly bleed the charge air cooler (intercooler) cooling system. Use the SERVICE PROCEDURE in this bulletin for the proper intercooler cooling system bleeding. - The procedure in this bulletin is different than what is currently in the Electronic Service Manuals (ESMs). - The ESMs will be updated at a later date. CAUTION: If the intercooler cooling system bleeding procedure in this bulletin is not used: - Damage may occur to the intercooler electric water pump(s), AND/OR - One or more of the following DTCs may set: - P14A2, P14A3, P14A4, P14A5, P14A6, P14A7, P14A8, P14A9 - P14AA, P14AC P14AD, P14AE, P14AF - P14B0, P14B1, P14B2, P14B3, P14B5
