SummaryExpiration Notification - 2G Telematics Hardware Replacement Campaign Summary In 2016, INFINITI launched a Client Satisfaction Initiative (CSI) that provided clients with an opportunity to update the Telematics Control Unit (TCU) in vehicles equipped with a TCU designed to connect to the 2G cellular network. AT&T stopped accepting enrollments on the 2G cellular network, and discontinued its 2G cellular network coverage on December 31, 2016. Once the 2G cellular network was discontinued, there was no access to the INFINITI Connection features without a TCU hardware upgrade. Because AT&T will shut down its 3G network on December 31, 2021, INFINITI is discontinuing this Client Satisfaction Initiative to upgrade from 2G to 3G compatible hardware effective immediately. 3G services will continue to be provided until December 31, 2021. Vehicles equipped with a TCU that connects to the 3G cellular network will have no access to the INFINITI Connection features, including Emergency Calling and Automatic Collision Notification after that time. What Retailers Should Do Service Comm will deactivate PC451, PC452 and PC454 on any VINs on December 22, 2020. No further retailer action is required.

Summary2014-2020 Q50 AND 2017-2020 Q60; TPMS SENSOR LEAKING AIR IF YOU CONFIRM The vehicle has the original equipment wheels and TPMS sensors (tire pressure sensors) installed. AND The owner states that one or more tires has a continuous air leak or looses air pressure multiple times over a 30 day period (approximatively 1 psi every 3 days). NOTE: The TPMS warning lamp may be ON (not flashing) with one or more of the following DTCs stored: ï· - C1704, C1705, C1706, C1707, C1730, C1731, C1732, C1733 ï· - If the TPMS warning lamp is flashing for more than one (1) minute this bulletin does not apply. Refer to the Electronic Service Manual (ESM) for further diagnostic information. ACTION 1. Confirm that air is leaking between the tire pressure sensorâs valve stem and valve nut of the affected wheel/tire. 2. Replace the valve stem washer/seal and the valve nut and then torque to the new specification.

When replacing a VR30DDTT short block or long block in an applied vehicle for any reason, replace the dipstick with the part listed in PARTS INFORMATION on the next page. The length of the new dipstick is shorter so that it can accurately measure the new oil fill volume. ï· - If the overall length of the dipstick is approximately 25 inches (63.5 cm), replace the dipstick with the one listed in PARTS INFORMATION on the next page. ï· - The overall length of the new dipstick is approximately 24 ¼ inches (62 cm). ï· - The new dipstick reflects an increase in oil fill volume by 0.5 quarts (0.5 liters).

SummaryEngine Control Module (ECM) Reprogram California Voluntary Emission Service Campaign ***** Campaign Summary ***** INFINITI is conducting a Voluntary Emissions Service Campaign on approximately 49,497 specific INFINITI vehicles identified in Service Comm and currently registered to owners in the state of California to reprogram the Engine Control Module (ECM) in the event that a permanent diagnostic trouble code (P-DTC) for P0448, P0101, P2008, or P0087 is recorded in the ECM. Due to calibration errors on the affected vehicles, the ECM may improperly store a permanent diagnostic trouble code (P-DTC) even though the emissions on-board diagnostic system is functioning properly. As of July 1, 2019 the State of California has implemented a revised Inspection Maintenance (I/M) or âSmog Checkâ test program. Without the software update, the subject vehicles may not pass this Smog Check test in those areas of California where such testing is required under state law. This incident has no effect on the safety, performance, drivability, or fuel consumption of the applicable vehicles. ***** What Retailers Should Do ***** 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this Voluntary Emissions Service Campaign using Service Comm or DBS National Service History â Open Campaign I.D. ï· P9329 â Affected Model Year 2015 ï· P9344 â Affected Model Year 2016 ï· P9346 â Affected Model Year 2017 ï· P9348 â Affected Model Year 2018 ï· P9350 â Affected Model Year 2019 2. The correct number must appear on all communication and documentation of any nature dealing with this campaign. RETAILER RESPONSIBILITY Retailers are to repair vehicles falling within range of this campaign that enter the service department. This includes vehicles purchased from private parties, vehicles presented by transient (tourists) owners, and vehicles in a retailerâs inventory.

SummaryQ50 AND Q60 WITH VR30DDTT (V6) ENGINE; ENGINE OIL DRAIN PLUG SERVICE INFORMATION SERVICE INFORMATION Whenever installing an engine oil drain plug on an APPLIED VEHICLE with a VR30DDTT (V6) engine, NEVER tighten the drain plug greater than its specified torque. Over-tightening may loosen the threaded insert in the oil pan (lower), causing an oil leak. ALWAYS replace the drain plug gasket after removing the drain plug, and then tighten the drain plug to the specified torque. ï· VR30DDTT (V6) engine oil drain plug torque (with new gasket): ï 2WD and AWD: 33.5 Nâ¢m (3.4 kg-m, 25 ft-lbs) ï· Avoid contact with the engine oil as it may be hot and cause burns. ï· Avoid prolonged or repeated contact with used engine oil as it may cause skin cancer. Try to avoid direct skin contact with used engine oil. If skin contact is made, wash with a suitable hand cleaner or soap as soon as possible.

Reprogram the ECM after performing the diagnosis and repair. ï· -The ECM reprogram in this Service Procedure is not a repair for the DTC, but instead updates the way the permanent DTC is stored and allowed to be erased. The DTC must be properly diagnosed and repaired before the reprogram is applied.
