  Summary

  Certain GV70 (JK1) vehicles may experience an intermittent A/C inoperative condition when the engine is started after the air conditioner has been operated with the ignition switch in the ON position. During engine cranking, a temporary low-voltage condition may cause the blower motor protection logic to activate, resulting in the A/C system turning OFF and remaining inoperative until the vehicle is restarted.

This bulletin provides the procedure to update the ATCU (Air Temperature Control Unit) software to revise blower motor protection logic and prevent this condition from occurring.
