SERVICE BRAKES
The truck at low speeds, In parking lots the brake pedal gets stiff. Only when i hit the gas the brake assist engages. Brake pedal gets super stiff almost as if it doesnt want to brake. In reverse its worse I am aware there is a recall for this But not pertaining to my vehicles vin number

ENGINE
One random morning engine made funny noises. By time I left work engine light flashing and stability control wouldn’t turn off. Dropped it off to dealership told me it’s 4500 to fix one lifter that failed 7500 to fix all. They know it a problem that GM issues letter on what they recommend to fix, but no recall. My truck warranty expired on 10/2022 and incident happened on 01/2023 my truck had 32987 miles when dropped off after repair 32997 miles. If issue is know and class action in place why hasn’t GM issued a recall.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
I believe the General Motors Video Display Module Digitizer has a design flaw that affects vehicle safety. This is the appliance in the center of the dashboard to the right side of the driver controlling audio and clock operations. It is a large touch screen. Also, the instrument cluster located over the steering wheel is affected. This is the digital display that reports vehicle velocity, tire pressure, gas mileage. What are the symptoms? During vehicle operation, the video display to the driver's side will randomly cycle through alternate operations not requested by the user. For example, while listening to radio station "A", the unit will switch to radio station "B". Then, the clock will be displayed in "full screen mode". Then, the unit initiates phone calls to people from my contacts list on my phone. In addition, the display unit over the steering wheel is connected to the side unit and will randomly change display. Each time these units change operation, the system emits an audible beep. All this is distracting and increases the workload of the driver (talking on the phone while driving trying to explain that you didn't mean to call the person), thus representing a safety hazard while driving. While the misbehavior comes and goes, at its worst, the unit will change operation a few times per minute. I made a video of the misbehavior, which I can share with you upon request. The behavior is reproducible. Why do I say this is a design flaw requiring NHTSA safety recall? The unit is relatively new but past its warranty period: the vehicle has 57,000 miles. SERVICE BRAKES
I was traveling approximately 20MPH on a side street that was snow covered when I came to an uncontrolled intersection where there was another vehicle approaching from my right and when I began to break the abs stabilitrak lights came on and my vehicle began to slide all over the roadway.ABS light Stabilitrak and Service trailer brakes come on causing the vehicle to slide on icy roadways. Bought the car brand new and has 45k miles. The diagnostic pulls up right rear speed sensor, so I replaced it and it still comes on with warning lights and sounds. I’ve tried to find more information on the internet and it seems a lot of people have had the same issues for many years with this problem

POWER TRAIN
TRANSMISSION FAILURE RESULTING IN LOSS OF POWER. WAS NOT ABLE TO ACCELERATE UP A INTERSTATE INCLINE. WITH NO AREA TO PULL OVER AND HEAVY TRAFFIC IT ALMOST CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. I RESTARTED THE TRUCK AND WAS ABLE TO PUT IT IN MANUAL MODE TO 4TH GEAR AND MADE IT OFF THE INTERTSTATE. I DID NOT NOTIFY ANY INDIVIDUALS AND CALLED A FRIEND WITH A TRAILER TO PICK UP THE VEHICLE.

The brakes grab and fails to fully engage at low speeds. The "Service Brake Assit message keeps popping up. My truck is not part of the GM brake recall but the symptoms are the same as many other reports from recalled trucks. They are going to get me killed with my truck's inconsistent braking

SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:POWER ASSIST:VACUUM:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS
The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the brake pedal became firm while being depressed. The braking distance was extended while attempting to stop the vehicle. The contact stated that the nearly caused the vehicle to crash into a group of pedestrians. The vehicle was taken to the local mechanic who diagnosed that the brake vacuum assembly and belt kit were faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The local dealer was notified of the failure and stated that the VIN was not covered under the recall or Service Campaign for the failure. The manufacturer was not yet contacted. The failure mileage was 75,000.

AIR BAGS
My 2017 Chevrolet Silverado's air bag light has come on. I had the Chevrolet dealers review and diagnosis the issue. I am told that the passenger airbag and sensor need replacing. Cost to repair 2400.00 and dealership (Wilson Chevrolet) doesn't think they can get the parts in to complete repair. I was told my year and make have a recall, but not my model for the same issues. I do not believe that a truck that is just 5 years old should have this type of safety issue and not covered by the manufacturer, Chevrolet. And if there is a recall for the year and make, shouldn't cover all model trucks in that recall?

POWER TRAIN
The transmission in my truck has been giving me problems off and on since I purchased it a few years back. I have told the dealer about it and they said they could not find a problem and that's because it is very sporadic when it happens. What is happening is it shifts really hard like it's not in gear when you hit the gas and then it just takes off, it is to the point where now it Jenks really hard when shifting and it also has been downshifting for no reason. There are no warnings alarms or messages displayed and yes it can be inspected but the couple times I asked them being Sterling Buick GMC they tell me the techs can not duplicate the issue and that's because it does not happen all the time. Thank you

It is difficult to brake at low speeds; I have to press very hard for it to brake. I took my 2017 Chevrolet Silverado in to a shop in reference to a safety recall, they said they followed the procedures for that recall, but I have the same issue. I believe the proposed solution is not fixing the problem. This has been on going for at least three years. To be clear, this happens when there is REPETITIVE braking at low speeds. Typically after three times braking at low speeds (0-5 mph). What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Brake How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? It is difficult to brake anytime there is repetitive braking at low speeds, including but not limited to parking lots, drive thru, or heavy traffic. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes, per the safety recall message. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Yes. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? Sometimes there is a "Brake Assist Warning" message.

While turning out of a parking space. I went into reverse, when I tried to turn the steering wheel it turned the other direction. The dash went dim, stabilitrac message came on the information display and the truck completely shut off. I had no lights no anything. I popped the hood touched the +battery terminal and lights came back on. Was able to drive home

I have notice from OnStar for issues with Antilock braking and on the vehicle dash notice for brake assist problems. I have experienced pedal pressure changes at very slow speed where I had to push very hard to stop the vehicle. Search and info from Consumer Reports indicates this is a problem for this model year, however I have not been notified of a recall and none is listed on this web site. I have scheduled service, but I believe this vehicle should be added to the recall.

POWER TRAIN
Transmission failed on vehicle with less than 27,000 miles. Required total overhaul costing over 4,000 $. No prior symptoms, no check engine light upon failure. This on top of over 5,000 $ of engine overhaul due to lifter failure last year. These are both known, prominent defects of this family of vehicles I unfortunately own.

ENGINE
Loss of power and misfire. I was on I44 in Oklahoma with my 1 year old and couldn’t go over 45 MPH. The mechanic said it was a lifter failure and it ruined cam shaft. In all the total repairs were $3800.00. I’m just learning about this common problem and seen there was a class action lawsuit filed.

I was driving on a road trip and when approaching a traffic light when I went to stop the brake pedal was hard, could not be pushed, and the truck would not Stop this happened several times during the trip the next day on star Notified me and says there is a problem with the brake assist system seems to be a common problem with these trucks but there is no recall on my truck this is very dangerous because the truck will not stop people are going to get hurt or killed due to this problem with these trucks
