This condition may cause a potential slow fluid leak from the transfer case area and with an increasing fluid leak over time. If the leak is not addressed, there would be a potential increase in noise and lead eventually to a loss of propulsion if the unit fails. Dealers will re-adjust the transfer case bearing setting.
