  OnStar® Voice Fallback Number Update Some customers may have received a letter from OnStar® stating that "We recently tried to provide a software update to the OnStar® hardware in your vehicle. However, your system could not be updated remotely. As a result, some of your OnStar® system functions may not be working as expected." The customer is further instructed in this letter to "Please contact your dealer – or any dealer near you – as soon as possible to schedule an appointment for this no-cost software update. Your dealer will reprogram your OnStar® module with an update. This is for vehicles that have previously received the Canada upgrade as described in Service Bulletin #15-08-44-001F."

  This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that intermittently the cruise control is inoperative or that it will not set around or over 70 mph. Technician will need to insure that all four tires are the same size, brand and have similar wear. Verify the Power Control Module and Electronic Brake Control Module tire calibrations are correct. Technician will now check the Instrument Panel Cluster, Power Control Module and Electronic Brake Control Module data for the wheel speeds at 70 MPH or above and write down the difference for each set of speed data. Technician will need to use a Global Positioning System to determine actual speed and compare it to the Power Control Module and Electronic Brake Control Module readings. If the Global Positioning System and Power Control Module speeds match, suspect front wheel hubs and they should be replaced.

A FRACTURED ICV COULD ALLOW FUEL VAPORS TO PASS THROUGH AND DROPLETS OF FUEL TO ACCUMULATE ON THE SIDE OF THE FUEL TANK AS IT PASSES OVER THE FRACTURE DURING REFUELING. IF THE ICV FRACTURES, THE VEHICLE’S SERVICE ENGINE SOON (SES) LIGHT MAY ILLUMINATE, AND THE OWNER MAY NOTICE A FUEL ODOR AND/OR A FEW DROPS OF FUEL ON THE GROUND WHEN REFUELING THE VEHICLE. After the new Pico Oscilloscope data has been saved email the data to General Motors Technical Assistance Center in the subject line include ?Vibration? ?Business Associate Code? and the last 8 of the Vehicle Identification Number.
