Repair Procedure Summary

To resolve the Nissan Rogue P0780 shift error, technicians will follow a detailed procedure involving the Nissan CONSULT-III plus diagnostic system:

1. Confirm TCM Part Number: The current Transmission Control Module part number is identified.
2. System Preparation: Before reprogramming, ensure the ASIST system on the CONSULT PC is updated, and all C-III plus software updates are installed. Connect a battery maintainer/smart charger to the vehicle, set to reflash mode, and connect an AC adapter to the CONSULT PC. All vehicle electrical loads and external Bluetooth devices within range must be turned off to prevent interruption or damage during reprogramming.
