Kia America, Inc. has announced a Voluntary Emissions Service Campaign to address an incorrect Vehicle Emission Control Information (VECI) label on certain 2023 Kia Sportage vehicles. How to Get Your Kia Sportage VECI Label Replaced

Owners of affected 2023 Kia Sportage vehicles will receive a notification letter from Kia, along with the corrected VECI label and instructions. Kia plans to mail these notices and labels to customers starting January 18, 2024. The instructions will detail how to affix the replacement label under the hood of your vehicle.

Customers will have the option to either apply the new label themselves following the provided instructions or take their vehicle to a servicing Kia dealership. The dealership will then affix the corrected Kia Sportage VECI label for them. This ensures that all owners can easily have their vehicles updated.
